Top Five Tuesday

Welcome Back! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by thatartsyreadergirl. This week's prompt is top ten characters I would like to switch places with. These are in no order. I could only think of five that I wanted to talk about this week, and so I decided to edit the prompt a bit.

1- Cather  from Fangirl

I have a lot in common with Cath. She is one of my favorite characters in YA Lit, and she is so much fun. We're both super nerdy, so I don't think that Cath would be far fetched for me. As an added bonus, Levi is adorable.

2- Elle from Geekerlla

Much like with Cath Elle is a character that I have things in common with. I just started this book a few days ago, but I already love Elle. I love Elle's devotion to fandom, and as I am a large fan of various fandoms, there is not much difference between us. Elle and I seem similar in  personality, which is why I wanted to use her for this list.

3- Juliet from The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Juliet is one of my favorite character's in Historical Fiction. I love her personality and her devotion to the people she is writing about. The fact that Juliet is a writer means that we have some things in common, and personality wise, I would say that the two of us are similar.

4- Jude from The Cruel Price and The Wicked King

I know this might seem like an odd answer. The fact that Jude is a human among fairies I love, and I would love to see the world that she lives in. I don't really enjoy politics all that much, however, I am intrigued by the politics and the system that is set in the world. I am not like Jude, so it would be a nice change to live her life.

5- Ana from Heart of Iron

This a retelling inspired by  Anastasia but set in Space. Ana is the main character, and I would love to be a princess. Ana is fierce and a bad ass unlike myself. I really love her as a character becasue she is the opposite of me, and I would love to see the world created.

  1. I’m a lot like Cath, too. I’d probably want to switch with someone who has a lot of fun adventures.

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C

Top Ten Tuesday- Favorite Books of the Year Part 1 (12-21)

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . The purpose of this meme was to bring the book blogging community together and foster our love of lists. Each week, Jana posts a topic, and we readers respond based on that prompt. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my list of my top ten reads part one.   Middle Grade 12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.    YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.  14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.  15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas This is another backlist release. I loved this book, and I knew when I read it that it had the potential to be on this list. I still thi

Top Ten Tuesday-- Favorite Places to read

Hi! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme Jana hosts @ thatartsyreadergirl This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists, and bringing the book blogging community together. Each Week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will post our list as a reply. We also have the option of going rogue, and posting a topic of our own choosing or a past topic. This week out topic is favorite places to read.   1- At my desk   I read a lot in my room and at my desk. I’m trying to find another method because I tend to stop reading and look at a notification that distracts me. I enjoy reading at my desk because it’s easy.  2- In bed I need to be wide awake to read in bed, but I might start doing it more. Reading in bed is less distracting for me, but it still can make me tired. 3- In the car Some weeks I spend a lot of time in the car. When I’m in the the car I’ll try to read a chapter or two, but it sends up being more like 3-4 depending on how long the car ride is.
