Can't Wait Wednesday- By The Book: A Novel of Pros and Cons

Hello! Can't-Wait Wednesday is a meme hosted by Tressa @wishfulendings. The meme is an offshoot of Waiting on Wednesday which was hosted by Jill @breakingthespine. The purpose is to feature a book that has not been published yet that we're excited about. This week I'm featuring   By The Book: A Novel of Pros and Cons by Amanda Sellet.

Information from Goodreads
45861077
Title-  By The Book: A Novel of Pros and Cons by Amanda Sellet

Expected Publication date- May 12, 2020, by HMH Books for Young Readers

Genre- Young Adult Contemporary

Summary

"As a devotee of classic novels, Mary Porter-Malcolm knows all about Mistakes That Have Been Made, especially by impressionable young women. So when a girl at her new high school nearly succumbs to the wiles of a notorious cad, Mary starts compiling the Scoundrel Survival Guide, a rundown of literary types to be avoided at all costs.

Unfortunately, Mary is better at dishing out advice than taking it—and the number one bad boy on her list is terribly debonair. As her best intentions go up in flames, Mary discovers life doesn’t follow the same rules as fiction. If she wants a happy ending IRL, she’ll have to write it herself."

Why I'm excited

I saw this book somewhere recently maybe in a Book Riot Newsletter, or on someone's blog. This book hooked me by the title because, of course, I would want to read more about it with a title like that. As I read the summary, I was more hooked and I can't wait to read it. They list this as Young Adult on Goodreads, but I have a feeling it might read like a New Adult Romance at times? Anyway, I can't wait to meet Mary, and see her world.

Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C
