Top Ten Tuesday- 5 musical theatre and 5 bookish couples I love

Hi! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. This weekly meme is hosted by Jana @thatartsyreadergirl and it was brought together out of a love of list and bringing the book blogging community together. This week is a love freebie and because I always love weaving my love of musicals into other posts on here.

The Musical couples

1- Maria and Tony from West Side Story

This is a classic musical theater couple from one of my favorite movies. Their plot is inspired by Romeo and Juliet, and they're very sweet.

2- Alyssa Green and Emma Nolan from The Prom

The Prom is a more recent musical, I've not seen it yet, but I love them a lot. Throughout the story, they go through trials and tribulations, but as a couple, they come out better and get their happy ending.

3- Elphaba and Fiyero from Wicked

I've seen Wicked more times than I can count, but it's at least over 5. Anyway, Fiyero might not be the best guy when we first meet him, but he cares about Elphaba. They're different sure, but they both balance each other out.

4- Amalia and Georg from She Loves Me

This is an older musical that inspired a piece for another site last valentine's day. The musical is a light-hearted comedy and the plot doesn't have a lot of drama, or sad parts.  The couple is so sweet and so cute. They work together, but you also see their relationship blossom through their correspondence.

5-  Anastasia and Dimitry from Anastasia

Many people know this musical and the relationship. Anastasia Romanov was a woman who lost her family, and all of her memories of them. Dimitry is the commoner who wants the reward money for finding Anastasia. As the story progress, the two form a romance and they're adorable.

The Bookish couples

1- Cath and Levi from Fangirl

I have not talked about Fan Girl in a while-which is shocking to me.  You all know these two, but they're two nerds and so sweet. I love seeing how they get together and how their relationship starts.

2- Claudia and Gideon from Foolish Hearts

These two are sweet like most of these other couples on this list. I love seeing how they develop over the course of the story.

3- Juliet and Dawsey from The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

This Historical Fiction was very good and was very different. I loved seeing Juliet and Dawsey grow closer to each other and how sweet they are.

4-  Simon and "Blue" from Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda

Yes, I know who Blue is, but I don't want to spoil the plot of the story. Simon and Blue are precious and I love them.

5- Feyre and Rhys from The Court of Thorns and Roses series

I wanted one Fantasy couple. They're another one who had a lot of struggles, but once again, they came out better in the end

Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . The purpose of this meme was to bring the book blogging community together and foster our love of lists. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my list of my top ten reads part one.   Middle Grade 12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.    YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.  14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.  15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas This is another backlist release. Top Ten Tuesday-- Favorite Places to read

Hi! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme Jana hosts @ thatartsyreadergirl This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists, and bringing the book blogging community together. Each Week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will post our list as a reply. We also have the option of going rogue, and posting a topic of our own choosing or a past topic. This week out topic is favorite places to read.   1- At my desk   I read a lot in my room and at my desk. I’m trying to find another method because I tend to stop reading and look at a notification that distracts me. I enjoy reading at my desk because it’s easy.  2- In bed I need to be wide awake to read in bed, but I might start doing it more. Reading in bed is less distracting for me, but it still can make me tired. 3- In the car Some weeks I spend a lot of time in the car. When I’m in the the car I’ll try to read a chapter or two, but it sends up being more like 3-4 depending on how long the car ride is.
