Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl.
The purpose of this meme was to bring the book blogging community together and
foster our love of lists. Each week, Jana posts a topic, and we readers respond
based on that prompt. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my
list of my top ten reads part one.
Middle Grade
12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz
I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.
YA
13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith
I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.
14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.
15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
This is another backlist release. I loved this book, and I knew when I read it that it had the potential to be on this list. I still think about this book.
16- Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
I recently read this book, and it was excellent. Books is verse is a new genre for me, and I loved this one.
17-Kate In Waiting by Becky Albertalli
I was debating where to put this book. If you've been following me for a while, you know that Becky Albertalli is one of my favorite authors. A book on next week's list won out, so this book is here. I loved all the theater references, plot, characters, and romance.
18- 10 Truths and a Dare by Ashley Elston
I enjoyed this book. It differed from 10 Blind Dates for me, but I thought it was fun and I really loved the characters and the story.
Adult
19- A Court of Sliver Flames by Sarah J. Maas
So I've read a lot of Sarah J. Maas this year. My favorite book was the latest book in her A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I loved the characters and the story.
20- The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
This book exploded this year and for a good reason. The characters were excellent; the story was heartwarming and unique. I just loved this.
21- Hang The Moon by Alexandria Bellefleur
I'm in the middle of reading this one right now. I usually have one or two books on my December TBR that make it onto my end-of-the-year list. This book is just so sweet and I love all the characters. The story is fun, and I'm not much of a romance reader, but I'm rooting for the couple. I didn't know this was the second book in a series, so I want to read Darcy and Elle's story as well.
I read Clap When You Land last year and loved it. Think it was the first book in verse I'd read too.

DeleteTHE BOOK THIEF is the only one of these I've read. It's been awhile, so I'm probably due for a re-read. It's such a good book!

ReplyDeleteI really did. I loved it.
DeleteI have read a few of these - I -loved- Clap When You Land, The Hate U Give and The House In The Cerulean Sea. The Book Thief was awesome too but I read that about 10yrs ago so my memory has faded a bit. I still need to read A Court of Silver Flames but the size is putting me off. And tbh, Nesta lol
