The Lightening Thief : A Percy Jackson Musical

When you listen to the music in The Lightning Theif: A Percy Jackson Musical you will find that most of the songs are songs that you can sing along to. with music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki all of the songs are great, but like any show, there are some standouts. Prologue/ The Day I Expelled where we find out that Percy was expelled from school. The Camp Fire Song where you find out about some other people at Camp Half-blood, and that they are all children of the gods. Killer Quest where Percy and his best friends Grover and Annabeth go on a mission to LA. My Grand Plan where we find out about Annabeth’s mother, and Annabeth’s plan for her life. Bring On The Monsters is and the song that I love, it’s the big finale.

I have had a great time coming up with the updates for these posts in the last few weeks and so I will keep doing them. Life This week was crazy for me because I had a a work blog due. While I enjoyed doing the post, it was more research than I had allotted for, so I just needed to spend more time on the blog than normal. Other than that it was an easy week. I got some read in and I got a new chapter up for my fanfic. Yesterday, we spent a lot of time in the backyard and shoveling stone for the yard. YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic. 14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. Life This week was busier than usual because I ended up going to Peter Pan Jr rehearsals in the afternoon so I could work with the music cues. The show opens this coming Friday, and this week is Tech Week, which is a four days where the cast will be able to work with lights, sound, mics, costumes, makeup, and basically run the show and get notes. The cast is 3rd-8th graders. I've been helping for years and I love it, although because I love Peter Pan, I have a soft spot for this show in particular. Other than that it was a relaxing week. Read I started Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan on Monday. I am 21% done, and I already love this book. I might not love it as much as I loved China Rich Girlfriend, but it's still early.
