Can't-Wait Wednesday

Welcome back to Can't Wait Wednesday! This is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa at  wishfulendings . The purpose is to feature a book, usually one that is not yet published, that we would like to read. I will expand this meme to talk about books on my TBR. The book I will feature today is Shadow and Bone, the first book in the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.  Goodreads Summary Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of one lonely refugee. Alina Starkov has never been good at anything. But when her regiment is attacked on the Fold and her best friend is brutally injured , Alina reveals a dormant power that saves his life—a power that could be the key to setting her war-ravaged country free. Wrenched from everything she knows, Alina is whisked away to the royal court to be trained as a member of th

A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs (Review)

Hello everyone! I read this book back in January and I still think about to it to this day. I want to get all my thoughts into a formal review so I can at least say I put them out there into the universe. The novel in question is A Map of Days (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children # 4)  by Ransom Riggs. Info Genre: Young Adult Read from: January 1,2019-January 31, 2019 Publication- October 2, 2018 by Dutton Books for Young Readers Edition I read-  US Hardback Rating- 4.5 stars In the fourth book in the series Jacob and the gang are in America mostly, while scenes are in the place where they spent time in the previous books, I assume this is England somewhere, but I’m not sure it  was  ever established . As the book progresses, we learn more and more about Abe and who he was as a person. The book ran in two timelines, but I will get more into this later on in the review. From Goodreads The Prince and the Pauper gets a modern makeover in this adorable, witty, and heartwarming young adult novel set in the Geekerella universe by national bestselling author Ashley Poston. Imogen Lovelace is an ordinary fangirl on an impossible mission: save her favorite character, Princess Amara, from being killed off from her favorite franchise, Starfield. The problem is, Jessica Stone—the actress who plays Princess Amara—wants nothing more than to leave the intense scrutiny of the fandom behind. If this year's ExcelsiCon isn't her last, she'll consider her career de

So for those that don't know, there are videos on YouTube of this series. I love the covers so I thought I would post them here. I thought I would turn this into Musical Monday's for today because I miss doing that series. If you enjoy these versions, I encourage you to watch the movies or learn more about the show they are featured in. R&H Goes Pop! BroadwayCon Cabaret Montage - Hosted by Laura Osnes Broadwaycon Cabaret Jeremy Jordan "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin ’ " | R&H Goes Pop! (Official Music Video) Jeremy Jordan singing Oh What A Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma This is a mash up, or two songs combining as one. The R&H one is Ten Minutes Ago from Cinderella. The other is The Next Ten Minutes from The Last Five Years. While The Last Five Years is more adult, I recommend it as nobody really talks about it here and I love it. The performers are Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan. The last song released so
