Top Ten Tuesday- Books I would take on a Desert Island

Welcome back! As always Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where bloggers post lists based on a prompt. I am having such a fun time with these and I don't think I will stop doing them. Our host is  Jana@thatartsyreadergirl . Today's topic is inspirational or thought-provoking book quotes. I don't really use book quotes all that much, and I know that I should more. Today, I have changed the topic to Books I would take on a Desert Island. This was a post I found on  brokeandbookish . I am only posting physical books that I have as I am sure that the island will not have wifi for Kindle. 1- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell I know I can hear your sighs from here. There is no way that I could go a desert island without my favorite YA book. 2- Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan I was not an active book blogger back in 2017. I binge read this series as an adult and I loved it so much! I would need this book here as I love this Middle Grade se

Welcome back! Today I am taking part in the weekly memes  The Sunday Post hosted by caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking The Shelves hosted by .tyngasreviews . I have had a great time coming up with the updates for these posts in the last few weeks and so I will keep doing them. Life This week was crazy for me because I had a a work blog due. While I enjoyed doing the post, it was more research than I had allotted for, so I just needed to spend more time on the blog than normal. Other than that it was an easy week. I got some read in and I got a new chapter up for my fanfic. Yesterday, we spent a lot of time in the backyard and shoveling stone for the yard. Read I just finished China Rich Girlfriend earlier today! All For One Alex &Eliza #3 is still so much fun and I think it is my favorite book of the trilogy still. Currently, I am on page 184/391 I read some The Princess and the Fangirl and I am 50% done. Rather than pushing it for the next few days, I decided to ju

Top Five Tuesday -Books Set in your own country

Hello! I had fun with Top Five Tuesday last week so I did a post this week as well.  Shanah @bionicbookwormblog  is our host for this weekly discussion. I am not a mystery person so I will do a post I missed which was Top 5 Books set in your own country. The United States! 1- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell I know that you're all probably tired of me talking about this book. This book is a gem and one of my favorite if not my favorite book that is YA. Cath is such a great main character and we see so much growth from her. Wren kind of annoys me to no end, but that doesn't stop me from loving this book. 2- Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ormsbee This was my favorite read of 2017! Tash is our main character, and she  has a lot of depth to her I would say. The premise of the book is that Tash and her friends have a web series based on Anna Karina by Leo Tolstoy. I was big into web series at the time, and I was so happy that someone had used it as a premise for a book. The novel

I loved this book, and I would call it one of the best books I have ever read 2- Allegiant by Veronica Roth Date reviewed- February 8th, 2016   Rating- 3 stars I was so iffy on this book, like the narrative changing because of who was narrating the book every chapter drove me nuts. I had to keep remembering to check becau

Summer of Love

Hey everyone! Steph here, and Today I wanted to share a new fanfic with you. I know I don't share my own writing here a lot, but I was really proud of this piece. See the end of the chapter for notes. The banner was made on Canva. Title: Summer of Love Fandom:Anastasia Word Count- 2,138 Chapter one Summer camp was a part of the American experience as a child. Once you got too old to be a camper, the next step in your direction would be to be a counselor. This summer, Anya and her sisters would be camp counselors, all working with different age groups. Olga had a group of ten-year-olds, Tatiana had eight-year-olds, Maria had twelve-year-olds, and Anastasia had another group of ten-year-olds. To be honest, she was both excited and nervous, because ten was a tough age. Anya was trying to remember herself at ten, she was never a rebel, but she was one that spoke her mind and that was something that got her in trouble a lot. Why? Well, to her, it seemed like people d
