Top Ten Tuesday- Books or series to have in your Beach Bag

Hi! I took an unexpected hiatus last week.  Jana hosts the Top Ten Tuesday @ .thatartsyreadergirl . Each week, Jana will post a topic and we book bloggers write a response to that prompt. We can have the option of going rogue and doing our own thing. This week, the topic was supposed to be book quotes about x theme, but I went rogue. This is Ten Books to have in your beach bag from years ago.  Middle Grade 1- Fearless (Fearless Series Book 1) by Mandy Gonzalez This was one of my favorite books this year as I’m sure you know because I’ve talked about it a lot. I think this would be a great read for teens or adults for the summer because there is a light mystery. While this might be better for the fall, I still think it’s a perfect summer read because it doesn’t take a long time to read. 2- The Chance to Fly by Ali Storker and Stacy Davidowitz I loved this novel! This contemporary checked all my boxes, and I think that both teens and adults would love this. If you love theatre,

High School Musical Book tag

Hi! I’m going to start High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 2  today. To celebrate the new season, I am doing the High School Musical Book tag! I pulled the tag from-  Here.   The Start of Something New: A new favorite genre/author/series I will not stop talking about these books, so I think you all know but my new favorite series is Fearless by Mandy Gonzalez. Mandy Gonzalez is also a new favorite author.         What I’ve Been Looking For: A book that has everything you’ve always wanted I’m a tough reader so I’m going to go with a book that came close. Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. I loved the story, the characters, and the romance was just–chefs kiss-.       Fabulous: A book with the biggest diva I’m not sure what book to say here. The one that came to my mind first was When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton because of Beatriz. I understand where Beatriz is coming from, but I still think she can be a diva.     Boys

Phoebe Unfired by Amalie Jahn- E –Arc Review

Hi! This book was Read Now on NetGalley, so I knew I needed to read it. The book was free for an honest review, but this doesn’t affect my opinions outlined in this review. Info Title: Phoebe Unfired Author: Amalie Jahn Expected Publication: June 15 th , 2021 by Bermlord Edition read: Digital E-ARC Add to Goodreads: Here Rating: 5 stars (*****)   Characters The characters in the book were so much fun to read about, so I knew I needed to give them a star in my review. Phoebe was the kind of character who didn’t have many friends until she met JP in the subway, and then he introduced her to other friends. Seeing Phoebe grow as she learned more about herself and how she interacted with her friends was lovely. This was also a group of friends that helped each other, and they were all there when someone needed something. The novel is also filled with lovely supporting characters like Toby, Phoebe’s brother, who Phoebe just wants to protect. Walter, Phoebe’s boss at Dus

Top Ten Tuesday- Books with Nature on the cover

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Janna will post a prompt, and we book bloggers will write a reply to that topic. We also have the option of doing rouge, and coming up with our own topic if we want. This week, our topic was covers with nature. I rarely do the cover weeks, but I wanted to challenge myself. Trees and flowers 1- The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett This book is up next after I finish Anne of Green Gables. My edition is from Barnes & Noble classics with a green cover and has both flowers and trees. I can’t wait to read this story!!! 2- A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas I read the paperback edition of this a few years ago. The red cover has a big tree on the right-hand side. I love this story and this series. 3- Working on a Song by Anais Mitchell This book is on my TBR list for this year. The book is Non-Fictio

The Chance to Fly by Ali Stroker and Stacy Davidowitz - Book Review

Graphic edited by me.  Hi! I read this book last month, and if you have been following me for a while, you know that I loved it. Seeing as it is Middle Grade May, I knew I needed to review this book this month. Info Title: The Chance to Fly Authors: Ali Stroker, Stacy Davidowitz Genre: Middle-Grade, Contemporary, Own Voices Published: April 13 th , 2021 Edition read: Hardcover Add to Goodreads:  here Rating: 5 stars (*****) Characters I gave the first star for this book for the characters. The principal character Nat was so cool, and I just loved her so much. This novel also has a group of supporting characters who were just as delightful as the main character. Nat had a friend before she moved, but once she moved, she met a core group of people who welcomed her with open arms. Like the book Fearless by Mandy Gonzalez, this book had a found friendship group, and it was just so cute. Each member of the group had an outstanding personality, and they balanced each other out well. This n
