Top Tne Tuesday- Characters I want an update from

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was brought on by a love of lists, and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will write our response to the prompt in question. We also have the option to do our own thing that week. This week, our topic is Characters I’d Love An Update On. This is fun, and I can’t wait to see what others say as well. The titles are separated by Genre for easy access. I put a few couples together because I would like an update on both of them. This is from last week, but I never got around to posting it. I thought I would share it this week because it was finished.    Adult 1- Alex and Henry from Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston I would mainly want to know if they’re still together. 2- August and Jane from One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston Same as above, I would love an update on their romantic status. 3- Addie from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Movie Review: Come From Away

Come From Away  follows the story of 6,000 passengers who, as a result of the September 11 th,   2001 attacks in the US, needed to touch down in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. The large Newfoundland airport was once a large military airport used during WW2, as it was the last stop to refuel planes before crossing the Atlantic. As part of emergency air traffic procedures that day, inbound traffic from Europe was diverted to Canadian Military and Civilian airports.   Come From Away   follows American Airlines flight 49 from Paris to Dallas as an example of the hospitality and kindness of the citizens of Gander over the five days of their stay. The ending scene reunites some of the passengers with Gander Citizens ten years later. Come From Away  features music, lyrics, and a book by Irene Sankoff and David Hein with Christopher Ashley directing the filmed version of the stage production.  One of the most important elements of a musical is relating to the characters.  Come From Away  is n

Top Ten Tuesday- Books to read if you love Historical Fiction

Hello! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was brought on by a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will write a response to the prompt. We also have the option of doing our own thing if we’re not feeling inspired by the prompt that week. This week, our prompt is Books to Read If You Love/Loved X (X can be a genre, specific book, author, movie/TV show, etc.) I wanted to use Historical Fiction, because like YA Contemporary, it’s a go-to genre for me. I separated the books by sub-genre for easy access.    Adult 1- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid 2- Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid 3-Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton 4- When We Left Cuba by Chanel Cleeton 5- Romanov by Nadine Brandes 6- After Anatevka by Alexandra Silber   YA 7- The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys 8- The Enchanted Son

Top Ten Tuesday Book Adaptations I still need to watch

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl .  A love of lists brought this meme about and bringing the book blogging community together. Each Week, Jana will post a prompt and we readers and bloggers will post our response. This week, the prompt is Memorable Things Characters Have Said (quotes from book characters that have stuck with you). I don’t do the quote prompts so I was looking back and I saw on The Broke and the Bookish had a prompt about Book Adaptations years ago. I wanted to do a spin on this and use a topic I’ve wanted to do for a bit now. These are book adaptations I want to watch at some point.    1- The Baby Sisters Club I’ve read a few of these books when I was a kid. I really enjoyed them, and I watched the movie when I was a kid /teen. I want to watch the Netflix show because I’ve heard good things about it. I love the vibes of the trailer, and what I’ve seen, I just need to start it and keep it on in the background while I work and watch the show.

The Animal Crossing Book Tag!

Hi! Today I'm going to share the Animal Crossing Book Tag. Happy Animal Crossing Update!!! I've played this game for a few weeks now, and I just love it  I took the questions from  here. 1. PAST VILLAGER — who is a character you found when you were younger that still has a place in your heart? 1- A character who from when I was a kid that still has a place in my heart is Madeline. I loved her from the time I was kid and I still talk about how much I enjoy her as a character and the stories.  2. BLATHER’S BLATHERINGS — recommend a historical fiction book that you think everybody should read: Omg, they made this prompt for me. I read a lot of Historical Fiction, so I have a lot of Recs for the genre. The one everyone should read is Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton. This novel is part Historical Fiction part modern story. I picked it because it’s a nice story and the characters are excellent. I enjoyed it and it’s one of my favorites of the year so far.  3. Top Ten Tuesday- Books & Series I would give to someone who doesn’t read YA

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt and we readers will write out our list as a response. This week the prompt was Books I would give to non-readers. I want to do a YA-themed post for this week. Contemporary 1- Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills I’ve read this book twice now. This is an easy read for me and I believe others would find it easy as well. I think the gaming aspect and the fact that it covers actual situations will appeal to other readers. As a theater kid, I loved the addition of A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, and I believe others who enjoy theater will love it as well. 2- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this earlier this year and I just loved it. This is another novel about gaming and the harsh reality of the gaming industry. I loved the characters and the story and think others would as well. 3- Creekwood Uni
