The Animal Crossing Book Tag!

Hi! Today I'm going to share the Animal Crossing Book Tag. Happy Animal Crossing Update!!! I've played this game for a few weeks now, and I just love it  I took the questions from here.

1. PAST VILLAGER — who is a character you found when you were younger that still has a place in your heart?

1- A character who from when I was a kid that still has a place in my heart is Madeline. I loved her from the time I was kid and I still talk about how much I enjoy her as a character and the stories.

2. BLATHER’S BLATHERINGS — recommend a historical fiction book that you think everybody should read:

Omg, they made this prompt for me. I read a lot of Historical Fiction, so I have a lot of Recs for the genre. The one everyone should read is Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton. This novel is part Historical Fiction part modern story. I picked it because it’s a nice story and the characters are excellent. I enjoyed it and it’s one of my favorites of the year so far.

3. CELESTE’S WISH — what if a future book release you wish you could read now?

I have a list of books on my Goodreads coming out next year that I can’t wait to read. I’m very excited about all the new books coming out. My response to this question is If This Gets Out by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich. I love the sound of this book and I can’t wait to read it. I would also say Here’s to Us By Beck Albertalli and Adam Silvera. I loved the first one and I can’t wait to read this one.

4. TIMMY & TOMMY — what is your favorite sibling relationship in a book?

Aw,  I love this question because I love reading books about siblings. For this question, I am going to say The March Sisters from Little Woman by Louisa May Alcott. The relationship between the sisters is so sweet.

5. THE EASTER BUNNY — a popular book character you’re not a big fan of:

I am not sure what to say for this question. I have opinions, but also I’m not sure whom members of the book community dislike. I’m going to say Alice from Alice by Heart by Steve Slater. I’m not sure if it’s a popular book, but man I wish I didn’t finish that book. I enjoyed her character for a bit, and then she started to annoy me.

6. NOOK’S LOANS — an author you’d give all your money to:

If you’ve been following by blog for a while, you know that Becky Albertalli is one of my faves. I know I used her for a question earlier, but I’m going to use her for this as well because I can’t think of anyone else I would use for this question.

7. THE SISTERS ABLE — what is your favorite fictional family (found or otherwise)?

I am going to say the gang from A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I love them and their relationships. From the time I met them all together, I thought that they were so cute and that they would always be there for each other.

8. IT’S A C+ — what is a book trope you don’t like that keeps popping up?

I like a lot of book tropes but there’s one that I keep seeing that annoys me. It’s when the MC finds love and then forgets about their friends, family, and other important people in their lives. This drives me nuts because it’s like finding love doesn’t mean that you forget about the other people in your life that are important to you.

9. THE WANDERING CAMEL — what is your favorite book set in a land far away from yours?

I don’t read a lot of Fantasy but I love The Grisha Verse by Leigh Bardugo. I loved these books because of the world-building and the characters. I also really enjoyed the stories.

10. WHAT WOULD DODOS DO — a fictional land you wish you could fly away to at any moment:

I know that I said this for number 8 and I’m going to say it here as well. I just want to vibe in The Night Court with the Fam from the ACTOR series. I want to see them and hang out with them. I feel like this is a popular response to this question.

Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . The purpose of this meme was to bring the book blogging community together and foster our love of lists. Each week, Jana posts a topic, and we readers respond based on that prompt. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my list of my top ten reads part one.   Middle Grade 12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.    YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.  14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.  15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas This is another backlist release. I loved this book, and I knew when I read it that it had the potential to be on this list. I still thi

2019 Book Resolutions Tag!

Hey everyone! So Thursdays on the blog I am going to post a new tag. I think tags are so much fun, and I enjoy the time to reflect on what I’ve read in the past, or what I want to read. Images come from Goodreads. I grabbed the questions from  this blog 1. An author you’d like to read (that you’ve never read before). Leigh Bardugo! I have heard such great things about the Grisha verse, so I want to see if it lives up to all the hype. I have a feeling it will, and I am intrigued by the world. I got the first three books in the series as one large Ebook , so I ’m going to start that next month. I can’t wait to go on the journey and be immersed in a new series!  2. A book you’d like to read. Romanov by Nadine Brandes I love Anastasia and the Romanov family. This looks like such a fantastic retelling. I am drawn in just reading the blurb on Goodreads.  3. A classic you’d like to read. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I’ve had the Barnes and Nobel edition of
