Top Ten Tuesday-Top signs you’re a bibliophile

Hi! I know I say this all the time, but I will be more active here. I’ve got some ideas for posts, and I miss writing posts. I took a short break because of the way the world is right now, but I’ve become more inspired over the last few days. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl The purpose of the meme was to make a list based on the topic of the week and building the book blogging community together. This week our prompt was the top ten signs you’re a book lover. I picked the word bibliophile because I love that word, and I think we should work it into conversations more. This is a simple list and is pretty self-explanatory, but I think that all readers will relate to my list. 1- You always have designated reading time This might just be me, but I feel it’s a known fact that we schedule our day around reading. At the moment, I have not been reading as much, because of our current situation; however, next month I would like to see if I can focus more on

Top Ten Tuesday- YA Contemporary Fiction!

Hi! I know I say every week that I will try to make more posts here. This week, I want to get one or two more posts up about how I'm spending my time right now. Anyway. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This meme shares a love of books and lists and bringing the book blogging community together. This week, the prompt is a Genre Freebie, and I wanted to highlight some YA contemporaries I've loved over the last few years. 1- Fangirl You all know about my love for this book so I will keep this short. I love Cath and I deeply related to her and her story.  I recommend this book to anyone who loves fandom.  2- Comics Will Break Your Heart This was a book I talked a lot about last year. Like Fangirl, I related to the main character Miriam and her story. I loved Weldon because he was so sweet.  3- Tash Hearts Tolstoy I loved this book the year it came out. The story follows Tash, a teenager who makes a web series based on Anna Karenina

Top Ten Tuesday- Spring TBR

Welcome! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana  @thatartsyreadergirl . The purpose is to bring the book blogging community together, and out of a love of lists. This week, the topic is Spring TBR. I want to read these books from April till June. 1- A Little Princess (Written Before 2010) This is a classic I want to work into my Beat the Backlist this year. I might have seen a movie version but never read the book. It seems I will love Sarah. 2- The Untold Stories of Broadway (owned for over two years) This is another pick for my Beat the Backlist. I should have read this before this point. The book will be a high priority. My book is signed because I met the author at Broadway Con in 2015.  3- Mark of Athena (Heroes of Olympus # 3) (Author you want to meet) I have the rest of the series now I just need to read them. I'm excited to get back into this series and this world. I would love to meet Rick Riordan one day.  4- Mark of Neptune (Heroes of

TTT- authors I love following on social media

Hi! Last week got crazy but I'm back now. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana  @thatartsyreadergirl . The weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. The topic of the week is authors with a fun social media presence submitted by  Kitty Marie’s Reading Corner , but I turned this into Authors I love following on social media. I love a fun social media account, and I'm more active on Twitter, so I put links to those accounts. 1- Jenny Han-https://twitter.com/jennyhan I love her series To All The Boys I've Loved Before. Jenny is fun because she posts about life and the world.  2- Jay Kristoff- https://twitter.com/misterkristoff Jay's account is so much fun because he will interact with fans and retweet fan art, and fan-made projects.  I just adore everything he tweets. I have read none of his books yet, but I plan to this year.  3- Holly Black-https://twitter.com/hollyblack Holly Black has a big fanba

Top Ten Tuesday- books or series I wish I read as a teen

Hello! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana  @thatartsyreadergirl . The eme was born out of a love of list and bringing the book blogging community together. This week's topic was single word titles submitted by   Kitty from Kitty Marie’s Reading Corner. I don't know that many to do ten, and I was not feeling the topic. Here are ten books I wish I had read as a teen. Most of these I enjoyed as an adult, but I would have loved them as a teen  as well .  The Percy Jackson Series As a teen, I would have eaten up this mythology series. I've always had a love of history, and mythology, and this would have been perfect. The first book was out when I was a teen, I just never knew about them.  A Court of Thorns and Roses series This series came out in 2015, and I really enjoyed it. Honestly, as a teen, this book series would have been my introduction to fantasy, and maybe I would read more fantasy today if I had read these as a teen.  Fangirl I talk about th

February Wrap Up and March TBR

February Wrap Up and March TBR Hi! I had a bit of an off month last month. I started off doing okay with reading every day, and then once life got busy, I just stopped reading. At one point, I think it had been three or four days since I had read any of my books. Also, blogging in the last month was kind of weird because I didn’t have the motivation to write posts. Anyway, I’m back and I have ideas again, I think I just needed the time to reflect. Maybe I’ll do a post on motivation in the future ? I think that would be fun, and it would give me the chance to really reflect . February Wrap Up Number of Books read 5 Number of books completed 2 Books continuing this month  3 Books leftover from January 1 Books completed As I said in the intro, last month was a strange month when it came to motivation for reading and blogging. I still finished two books on February 29 th . I had varying success with the two books I read, but I wanted to get my fe
