2019 Reading Goals

Hey everyone, Steph here and today I am going to talk about my reading and writing goals for 2019.

1- Be more active in the book blogging community

2018 was a wonderful professional year for me, however, I put my blog on the back burner. In the new year, I would love to review more books and build my platform on this blog and beyond. I would love to receive some arcs of books, and I'm not one to put myself on YouTube, so I thought this was the next best thing.

2- Try a readathon

I always say that I'm too busy, and because of that, I miss out on some pretty fun readathons. I want to start with a week-long one, however; I know that those are less common than just a day or two.

3- Read 30 books

I always set my Goodreads goal low, I was a student and now that I'm graduated I will have more time to read. I surpassed my goals this year, and so I want to up the goal by ten books.

4- Keep up with Buzzfeed Page Turners

Buzzfeed Page Turners is a Facebook Group by Buzzfeed with a book theme. The challenges are monthly, and what I love about it is that the prompts are general. It might be a specific genre, but it will not be a specific book that everyone needs to read.

5- Review 15 books

This goes hand in hand with my first goal. I would like to be more active, and the best way to do that is to do reviews right? I read a lot, and I have opinions and so I might as well put them out there right?

6- Write a historical fiction

I have wanted for years to write historical fiction,  the only thing was that I didn't have the time to put into it with the reading component. I'm not sure what era yet, however, I have this one aspect of the story in my head.

7- Write more fan fiction

Writing fan fics gives me so much joy and pleasure.  In the new year, I would love to have one or two chapters or stories up. I have various fandoms I would love to write for, so branching out in 2019 is also a goal.

8- Find and watch more BookTube

I know I said that I would not be cut out for BookTube, but I would love to find more like-minded folks on BookTube. I love watching videos; I am just not sure where to start with BookTube.

9- Become more active on Books & Writing Amino

Amino is a blogging platform with weekly events and discussions. I would like to start being more active and build my brand on the app.

I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C
