May TBR aka Currently Reading

Hi! I know that I haven't posted in a few weeks. The reason for that was that I wasn't reading as much as I should have been, so I was just not motivated to write a blog post. I'm back, and I can't wait to get back into blogging, and connecting with you all again. I've finished a few books recently, so I wanted to do an update on what I'm currently reading. RC denotes Reading Cycle.

RC Day 1

Anna K: A Love Story by Jenny Lee 64% done

I'm going to be honest, this book takes a while to get into the plot. I almost DNFEd this book but something told it would get better, and low and behold it did. I'm loving it.

Cress by Marissa Meyer 9% done

I'm so happy to be back in the world of The Lunar Chronicles. I've missed this world and these characters. I love Cress so much.

Get A Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert 26% done

This is a hyped book and I can see why. This is not my usual genre but I love it.

RC Day 2

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas 31% done

This was another book that was slow at the beginning for me. I'm enjoying it now and I can't wait to read more.

The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan 33% done

I'm back to reading HOO! I love this book more than I enjoyed The Lost Hero.

My Dear Hamilton: A Novel of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie 7% done

I started this a few days ago, and it's so fantastic. I was in the mood for Historical Fiction so I picked this one.

The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo 53% done

The second book in the trilogy was a struggle for me at the start. I didn't want to DNF the series because I am enjoying the series in general. Now that I'm at the height of action I am enjoying the book more.

Welcome back! Today I am taking part in the weekly memes The Sunday Post hosted by caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking The Shelves hosted by .tyngasreviews . I have had a great time coming up with the updates for these posts in the last few weeks and so I will keep doing them. Life This week was crazy for me because I had a a work blog due. While I enjoyed doing the post, it was more research than I had allotted for, so I just needed to spend more time on the blog than normal. Other than that it was an easy week. I got some read in and I got a new chapter up for my fanfic. Yesterday, we spent a lot of time in the backyard and shoveling stone for the yard. Read I just finished China Rich Girlfriend earlier today! All For One Alex &Eliza #3 is still so much fun and I think it is my favorite book of the trilogy still. Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion, and discuss how that relates to me as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I will link up to The Sunday Post hosted by /caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by tyngasreviews . Life This week was busier than usual because I ended up going to Peter Pan Jr rehearsals in the afternoon so I could work with the music cues. The show opens this coming Friday, and this week is Tech Week, which is a four days where the cast will be able to work with lights, sound, mics, costumes, makeup, and basically run the show and get notes. The cast is 3rd-8th graders. I've been helping for years and I love it, although because I love Peter Pan, I have a soft spot for this show in particular. Other than that it was a relaxing week. Read I started Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan on Monday. I am 21% done, and I already love this book. I might not love it as much as I loved China Rich Girlfriend, but it's still early.
