Cars Readathon- Announcement &TBR

I love the Cars movies, and so when I heard there was going to be a readathon, I knew I needed to participate. This Readathon will be from This Sunday (Feb 28th) to March 6th (the following Saturday). I'm going to link to the host's YouTube Channels so you can find out more info.  Katie host for Team Rusteez ,  Mer for Team Dinoco , and  Kelsey for Team Hostile Takeover Bank . I planned on joining the Lightning McQueen team, but I took a Quiz, and so I'll be joining Team Dinoco. There's a Bingo Board which I'll post below.  My TBR I plan on going to a Reading Sprint or Watch Party if I'm around, so that box will be checked.  The King -Royalty- Fairest by Marissa Meyer. This is a thin novella set in the world of The Lunar Chronicles. It follows Levanna, who is the evil queen, so it definitely fits the Royalty prompt. Because King is the Car representing Team Dinoco, I knew I needed to use his prompt.  Radiator Springs- Found Family- Tales of the Peculiar by Ra

Top Ten Tuesday- backlist books and authors I can't wait to read this year

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana@thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. I think that all of these books will be 4.5-5 stars for me.   The Authors 1- Angie Thomas I have all three books by Angie Thomas on my TBR. I plan on reading THUG in April, On the Come Up in May, and Concrete Rose in July.  I have a strong feeling I will enjoy them, and I can’t wa

I learned a lot, and I’m so glad I read it. 3- A Court of Sliver Flames   I adore the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I can’t wait to read the fourth book in the series.

Top Ten Tuesday –Favorite Couples (Valentine’s Day /Love Freebie)

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl. . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. I love doing this meme because it gives me a chance to bond with other bloggers. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we bloggers will make a post with our list on the topic, or a different one. This week it was Valentines / Love, so I wanted to do a post on favorite couples. I may have done a similar post last year, but I know that there are some new couples on this list.  1- Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy- Pride & Prejudice   This is the only classic couple on this list. I enjoy their relationship because the two characters have little in common, and yet by the end of the novel, they make it work. As you read Pride & Prejudice, you get to see these two find the love each of them was missing. 2- Cath and Levi–Fangirl One of my favorite YA novels needed to appear on this list. I love Cath and Levi because they balanc

Bookish Websites, Apps, and Shops we love. VaLITines Blogging Challenge # 2

Hi! Today I'm posting my challenge for VaLITines. This is a month-long Readathon I'm taking part in this month.  Check Twitter for more info.  For my challenge, I wanted to do a post about the book community, so I decided to do a challenge on websites, apps, and bookish shops we love. I used seven for this, but you can use as many as you would like.  Websites Goodreads   Everyone knows Goodreads unless you’re a person who doesn’t track their reading online. I mostly use Goodreads for the reading challenge, and as a way to track what I read in over one place. I use the community aspect, but not as much as some people might. The good thing about this website and app is that they’re easy to use, and they don’t have all the bells and whistles from a site or apps that gives you charts and graphs. This is a con of Goodreads, I want more than just the typical place to search for reads, add things to your shelf, track your reading, and have some kind of community. I wish Good

You Have A Match (Review)

Title: You Have A Match Author: Emma Lord Genre: YA, Contemporary Rep: WLW, Filipino supporting character, Adoption  Release Date: January 12 th , 2021 Rating: ***** (5 Stars)     Overview You Have A Match is the second novel I’ve read by Emma Lord. After reading and loving Tweet Cute last year, I knew that I would need to read this book as well. Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I gave it five stars. Plot One of the key elements of this and one of the reasons I loved the novel so much. The story started with Abby taking a DNA test to support her friend Leo. Little did Abby know that the test would say that she had a sister named Savvy that she never knew about because she was given up for adoption, a year and a half before Abby was born. Similar to The Parent Trap, most of this story took place at a summer camp, and we had the sisters get to know each other. As the story unravels, we find out about what led to Savannah being adopted, and how her birth parents knew her adopted parent

Top Ten Tuesday books/ series I would recommend to someone who says don’t like to read.

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a topic, and we will all make a list based on that topic. This week, the topic is Books Written Before I Was Born ( These can be books you’ve read or want to read! ) ( submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog ). I wasn’t feeling this, and so I went through and found a post from The Broke & the Bookish, and I did that. The original post can  be found here . I thought I would recommend some books from some of my favorite genres.   The Classics 1- Pride & Prejudice This is one of my favorite classics, and when making my list this week, I knew I needed to include it. The reason is that I think this is one of the best books by Jane Austen, and we use the story in a lot of modern media. 2- To Kill A Mocking Bird I was so surprised by how much I loved this
