Cars Readathon- Announcement &TBR

I love the Cars movies, and so when I heard there was going to be a readathon, I knew I needed to participate. This Readathon will be from This Sunday (Feb 28th) to March 6th (the following Saturday). I'm going to link to the host's YouTube Channels so you can find out more info.  Katie host for Team RusteezMer for Team Dinoco, and Kelsey for Team Hostile Takeover Bank. I planned on joining the Lightning McQueen team, but I took a Quiz, and so I'll be joining Team Dinoco. There's a Bingo Board which I'll post below.

My TBR

I plan on going to a Reading Sprint or Watch Party if I'm around, so that box will be checked.

The King -Royalty- Fairest by Marissa Meyer. This is a thin novella set in the world of The Lunar Chronicles. It follows Levanna, who is the evil queen, so it definitely fits the Royalty prompt. Because King is the Car representing Team Dinoco, I knew I needed to use his prompt.

Radiator Springs- Found Family- Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs. Nothing is more found family than a family of children with special abilities that didn't know each other that end up living together. This is a novella of short stories that are talked about throughout the series,

I think that Fairest has the potential to be a 5 star read, and maybe Tales of the Peculiar as well.

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

Top Ten Tuesday books/ series I would recommend to someone who says don’t like to read.

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a topic, and we will all make a list based on that topic. This week, the topic is Books Written Before I Was Born ( These can be books you’ve read or want to read! ) ( submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog ). I wasn’t feeling this, and so I went through and found a post from The Broke & the Bookish, and I did that. The original post can  be found here . I thought I would recommend some books from some of my favorite genres.   The Classics 1- Pride & Prejudice This is one of my favorite classics, and when making my list this week, I knew I needed to include it. The reason is that I think this is one of the best books by Jane Austen, and we use the story in a lot of modern media. 2- To Kill A Mocking Bird I was so surprised by how much...

Top Ten Tuesday- Fall TBR

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was made to foster our love of lists and bring the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a list, and we readers will write a response. We also have the option of doing our own thing. This week our topic is fall tbr. I’m a mood reader, and I help out with a game and take part in a game every month. Every time you see a game prompt means that I will try to find a book on my shelves once I find out what the prompts will be. I’m going to reserve two books a month for games. I plan on reading more than what is listed here. This is just a small taste of what I hope to read.   September 1- On the Come Up by Angie Thomas (57%) done–I left my Ipad down the shore, luckily my mom and sister found It and they have it. I am enjoying this book. I’m not sure if I will be able to finish this by the end of this month, but I wanted to put it here anyway. 2- Barakah Beats by Maleeha Siddiqui (10% d...
