Supergirll 2x12 Review contains spoilers

Airdate: 2/13/17
Rating:***** 5 stars would go higher if I could.
This was one of the best episodes to date, and that is saying a lot because I love most of the episodes of this show. The episode started in the past with the Luthor’s when the dad and husband brought Lena home, and we later find out that the father and husband had an affair with Lena’s mother. In the present Alex is telling everyone that she is dating Maggie, but getting everyone together at the bar and introducing her to them, as a couple not just as a person. In the present Lillian Luthor is in very hot water, and she is on trial Lena doesn’t do the best job at defending her mother, mostly because of all of the existing issues the two of them have. Lena is seen delivering kryptonite to a villain who is working for her mother in jail, and she ends up getting arrested so everyone believes that she is an accomplice in the work that her mother was, and still is doing. Kara believes that Lena is a good person, and she just wants to help her even when everyone else thinks that she is a bad person, Kara believes that she is not. Winn finds the coding in the video, and it has another person not Lena in the footage so Lena is innocent. Kara helps Lena with the help of Jimmy in the suite that Winn built for him, and Kara is happy that he is there to help him. The episode ends with a kiss between Kara and Mon-El.
The writing in this episode was very strong, and the writers really brought their game. “I’m Lex I’m your brother do you want to play?”-Lex “Well here on earth some really don’t support the ladies loving the ladies.”- Alex “It’s Geometry with sticks folks it’s simple.”-Winn “She told me on record she didn’t do it!”-Kara “ ”I’m not super up with earth social cues.”-Mon-El “The public wants to believe the narrative they expect from us.”- Lillian “Good article you flatter me.”-Lena “Well Supergirl may have saved me, but Kara Danvers you’re my hero.”-Lena
. I loved learning more about Lena and her background, and the Luthor’s as a whole I would love for them to go back, and not bring on a villain of the week but tells us a story about the ones we know. I loved how accepting of Alex and Maggie that everyone was, it really made me happy how accepting everyone was. The fact that Kara’s bond with Lena over friendship and the fact that she believed her because she knew her was very heartwarming to me. The fact that everyone worked together to help save Lena, and that everyone believed that she didn’t do it once they found out. I loved the fact that we saw a new side of Lena’s character, she is still that gray area between good and evil but seeing the new side of her was great. There was nothing I didn’t love about this episode.

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

Top Ten Tuesday books/ series I would recommend to someone who says don’t like to read.

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a topic, and we will all make a list based on that topic. This week, the topic is Books Written Before I Was Born ( These can be books you’ve read or want to read! ) ( submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog ). I wasn’t feeling this, and so I went through and found a post from The Broke & the Bookish, and I did that. The original post can  be found here . I thought I would recommend some books from some of my favorite genres.   The Classics 1- Pride & Prejudice This is one of my favorite classics, and when making my list this week, I knew I needed to include it. The reason is that I think this is one of the best books by Jane Austen, and we use the story in a lot of modern media. 2- To Kill A Mocking Bird I was so surprised by how much...
