In the Queue Where it Happens

 


Hello! It's been a few weeks, but I have things to talk about now. This is my post about other media not related to books that I do every other Friday. Yes, the title of this post comes from the musical Hamilton. 

Tv and Movies

I've actually been watching a few things lately, and I'm thrilled about that fact. I'm working my way through season 4 of One Day At A Time when CBS airs them on Mondays. I'm very much enjoying it, and I love all the characters. My next Netflix show will probably be Emily in Paris, or Julie and the Phantoms. Now that The Owl House is on Disney Plus, I will start that today. If I have time, I  will start season 1 of The Mandalorian as well. Also on Disney Plus, I have added High School Musical: The Musical: The Series; I need to get back to that as I was very much enjoying the show. I have to say; I believe as far as streaming services go; I prefer Disney Plus over Netflix because it's more the content I want. 

  As far as movies go, I watched The Haunted Mansion for the first time on Disney Plus. I thought the movie was okay; it was just a little odd in places, but I enjoyed the attempt to make a movie inspired by the ride. Before I started this post, I watched I Put A Spell On You: The Sanderson Sisters Break the Internet. I definitely recommend this visual album if you love Hocus Pocus, or just want to watch a fun movie, Click here to watch I Put on You: The Sanderson Sisters Break the Internet. It's mostly Broadway performers, but I believe the whole family would enjoy it. 

Podcasts

As a fan of Starkid, I am listening to Wayward Guide, and I'm really enjoying it. This is a podcast and web series, from Tin Can Bros, a cousin Starkid, but there is a crossover between the two groups. I'm not that big on horror, but because of the actors and the story, I watched and listen to the first episode, and I really enjoyed the vibe. Click here to watch the series on YouTube.

Theater and Streams

So I Put A Spell on You could have gone in two places, because it was more of a movie/visual album than a theatrical production, I put it in the movie section. Last weekend, I watched Broadway Whodunit: All Hallows Eve, and it was a very fun stream. I love that actors are finding a way to make theater. As far as Twitch streams, I still have the same list of people I've mentioned before. 

Music 

I believe I mentioned Cruel Intensions: A 90's Musical a few weeks ago, and I very much still into that show. I have also been on a Disney kick lately, and as I write this post, I am listening to Disney Hits. 

Games



Frequent readers of this post will know that I'm not really a hardcore gamer. I play Animal Crossing Pocket Camp and Among Us. I also play Hayday, but I mostly prefer to watch others play games.

    I'm a Starkid fan too but haven't had the chance to check out Wayward Guide yet. I'm excited though!

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I will link up to  The Sunday Post  hosted by  /caffeinatedbookreviewer  and Stacking the Shelves hosted by  tyngasreviews . Life This week was busier than usual because I ended up going to Peter Pan Jr rehearsals in the afternoon so I could  work with the music cues. The show opens this coming Friday, and this week is Tech Week, which is a four days where the cast will be able to work with lights, sound, mics, costumes, makeup, and basically run the show and get notes. The cast is 3rd-8th graders. I've been helping for years and I love it, although because I love Peter Pan, I have a soft spot for this show in particular. Other than that it was a relaxing week. Read I started Rich People Problems by  Kevin Kwan on Monday. I am 21% done, and I already love this book. I might not love it as much as I loved China Rich Girlfriend, but it's still early.  All For One was the plan to finish last week, but I still have ...
