Top Ten Tuesday-Books I want to reread

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana@thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and brings the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a topic, and we book bloggers write a response. This week, it's books I want to reread.

1- Pride & Prejudice

This is a classic I’ve read twice, I think? At least once, anyway, I love this novel so much. My favorite character in the book is Lizzie. I also miss the story. Maybe in 2021? Anyway, I miss this book and I want to reread it.

2- Foolish Hearts

I read this book in the summer of 2019. I had been in a bit of a slump at the time, so this pulled me out of it. I read the novel in about two weeks, and I just loved it so much. My favorite character is Claudia, and I want to revisit the book. That this involves theatre is another reason I need to reread this book ASAP.

3- After Anatevka

I know I talk about this book so much on the blog. I read this a few years ago now, and I want to revisit the characters and their story so much. I love Fiddler on the Roof, and this is a sequel, picking up with  Hodel and Perchik in Siberia.  I don’t want to spoil the book, and I don’t remember some minor details, so I want to reread it.

4- Comics Will Break Your Heart

I brought this book a whim last year. I loved it so much and I want to reread so I can see Miriam and Weldon again. I loved the nods to Romeo & Juliet.  Miriam and Weldon developed so much over the book, and I just loved seeing their love blossom.

5- Dear Evan Hansen

I love this musical; I do have one issue, but I’ve grown past that as the years have passed and I’ve found less of a problem with that plot point. Anyway, this book was so much fun. Maybe not the best book, or the best written, but it was fun if you know the story. With the movie coming out soon, I want to reread this to remind myself of some details.

6- White Hot Greif Parade

This is a memoir by the same author as After Anatevka. It’s a memoir about how she lost her father and the year that followed. I enjoyed it because I’m a fan of Alexandra Silber and I wanted to read this part of her story. I want to reread this because I just love the way she writes, and I want to read this part of her life again.

7- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

I raved about this book several years ago. I love Historical Fiction and a mix of contemporary, which is so up my alley. I want to reread this because I miss the story and the characters. I loved Evelyn and reading about her life.

8- Geekerlla

Geekerlla was the start of my love for the Once Upon A Con series. I miss Elle and her romance being a part of the major story, and I just want to reread her story.

9- Eliza and Her Monsters

Omg, I should have reread this book this year. This was an odd reading year for me, because of everything that went on with the world. I related to Eliza and I want to reread her story. Eliza is also a writer who doesn’t talk about her writing in real life. I relate to that on a personal level. I just miss Eliza and her story.

10- The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennett

Few people have read this book, but I loved this book and the YouTube series so much. I want to reread this because I can’t remember how they adapted the story for the modern age. I also want to reread the Lydia book after.

  1. I hope you find time to reread all of these books soon. :)

    My post.

  2. I would love to re-read Pride & Prejudice too sometimes!

  3. I hope you enjoy these if you reread them!

  4. I have been wanting to read Pride & Prejudice for so long!! Seeing it everywhere is making me want to pick it up now! I'll read this week for sure now hahah
    Here's my post

  5. Foolish Hearts was so good! That would be a fun reread.

    1. I really enjoyed that book. Thanks for stopping by.

  6. I still need to read Jane Austen. And more TJR too- the one book of hers that I read was quite good!

  7. I've reread Pride and Prejudice as an older adult already, so it didn't make my list, but I would like to read Emma again and the rest of Jane Austen's books. I should have had them on my list! I've heard a lot about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and should add that one to my TBR. I just finished my first NaNoWriMo (only 28K words instead of 50K so I didn't win) so I'm a closet writer now, too!

    1. Congratulations on the win!! I started Emma but didn't pick it up again.

  8. I've read Pride & Prejudice (of course!) and Anatevka but not the secquel. Maybe that's because I don't often read sequels written by someone else than the original author? But this could be interesting.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

  9. I loved the Lizzie Bennett YouTube series, but I do not think I actually read the book version. Adding it to my TBR!

  10. Comics will break your heart? Oh I NEED that book!

  11. Ooh yes, I'd love to reread Evelyn Hugo! I think Pride and Prejudice (and Persuasion by Austen) are the only two books that I've managed to reread more than a few times. They're definitely comfort books for me! Great list :)

  12. I hope you get the chance to reread these books. I've also reread Pride and Prejudice several times since I first read it as a girl and I recall the comfort it gave me!

Top Ten Tuesday –Favorite Couples (Valentine’s Day /Love Freebie)

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl. . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. I love doing this meme because it gives me a chance to bond with other bloggers. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we bloggers will make a post with our list on the topic, or a different one. This week it was Valentines / Love, so I wanted to do a post on favorite couples. I may have done a similar post last year, but I know that there are some new couples on this list.  1- Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy- Pride & Prejudice   This is the only classic couple on this list. I enjoy their relationship because the two characters have little in common, and yet by the end of the novel, they make it work. As you read Pride & Prejudice, you get to see these two find the love each of them was missing. 2- Cath and Levi–Fangirl One of my favorite YA novels needed to appear on this list. I love Cath and Levi because they balanc

Can't Wait Wednesday -Confessions of a Curious Bookseller

Hi! Can't-Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa  @wishfulendings . This meme is an offshoot of Waiting on Wednesday, which was hosted by  Jill@breakingthespine . The purpose of the meme is to feature books, usually unpublished, that we can't wait to read. This week, I'm featuring Confessions of a Curious Bookseller by Elizabeth Green. All information comes from GoodReads.  Title: Confessions of a Curious Bookseller Author: Elizabeth Green Genre: Adult Contemporary Expected Publication: January 1st, 2021  Add to Goodreads:  Here Goodreads Summary A heartening and uproariously funny novel of high hopes, bad choices, book love, and one woman’s best—and worst—intentions. Without question, Fawn Birchill knows that her used bookstore is the heart of West Philadelphia, a cornerstone of culture for a community that, for the past twenty years, has found the quirkiness absolutely charming. When an amicable young indie bookseller invades her block, Fawn is convinced that his cushy couch
