Top Ten Tuesday-Books I want to reread

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana@thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and brings the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a topic, and we book bloggers write a response. This week, it's books I want to reread.

1- Pride & Prejudice

This is a classic I’ve read twice, I think? At least once, anyway, I love this novel so much. My favorite character in the book is Lizzie. I also miss the story. Maybe in 2021? Anyway, I miss this book and I want to reread it.

2- Foolish Hearts

I read this book in the summer of 2019. I had been in a bit of a slump at the time, so this pulled me out of it. I read the novel in about two weeks, and I just loved it so much. My favorite character is Claudia, and I want to revisit the book. That this involves theatre is another reason I need to reread this book ASAP.

3- After Anatevka

I know I talk about this book so much on the blog. I read this a few years ago now, and I want to revisit the characters and their story so much. I love Fiddler on the Roof, and this is a sequel, picking up with  Hodel and Perchik in Siberia.  I don’t want to spoil the book, and I don’t remember some minor details, so I want to reread it.

4- Comics Will Break Your Heart

I brought this book a whim last year. I loved it so much and I want to reread so I can see Miriam and Weldon again. I loved the nods to Romeo & Juliet.  Miriam and Weldon developed so much over the book, and I just loved seeing their love blossom.

5- Dear Evan Hansen

I love this musical; I do have one issue, but I’ve grown past that as the years have passed and I’ve found less of a problem with that plot point. Anyway, this book was so much fun. Maybe not the best book, or the best written, but it was fun if you know the story. With the movie coming out soon, I want to reread this to remind myself of some details.

6- White Hot Greif Parade

This is a memoir by the same author as After Anatevka. It’s a memoir about how she lost her father and the year that followed. I enjoyed it because I’m a fan of Alexandra Silber and I wanted to read this part of her story. I want to reread this because I just love the way she writes, and I want to read this part of her life again.

7- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

I raved about this book several years ago. I love Historical Fiction and a mix of contemporary, which is so up my alley. I want to reread this because I miss the story and the characters. I loved Evelyn and reading about her life.

8- Geekerlla

Geekerlla was the start of my love for the Once Upon A Con series. I miss Elle and her romance being a part of the major story, and I just want to reread her story.

9- Eliza and Her Monsters

Omg, I should have reread this book this year. This was an odd reading year for me, because of everything that went on with the world. I related to Eliza and I want to reread her story. Eliza is also a writer who doesn’t talk about her writing in real life. I relate to that on a personal level. I just miss Eliza and her story.

10- The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennett

Few people have read this book, but I loved this book and the YouTube series so much. I want to reread this because I can’t remember how they adapted the story for the modern age. I also want to reread the Lydia book after.

  6. I still need to read Jane Austen. And more TJR too- the one book of hers that I read was quite good!

  7. I've reread Pride and Prejudice as an older adult already, so it didn't make my list, but I would like to read Emma again and the rest of Jane Austen's books. I should have had them on my list! I've heard a lot about The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and should add that one to my TBR. I just finished my first NaNoWriMo (only 28K words instead of 50K so I didn't win) so I'm a closet writer now, too!

  8. I've read Pride & Prejudice (of course!) and Anatevka but not the secquel. Maybe that's because I don't often read sequels written by someone else than the original author? But this could be interesting.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

  9. I loved the Lizzie Bennett YouTube series, but I do not think I actually read the book version. Adding it to my TBR!

  11. Ooh yes, I'd love to reread Evelyn Hugo! I think Pride and Prejudice (and Persuasion by Austen) are the only two books that I've managed to reread more than a few times. They're definitely comfort books for me! Great list :)

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . The purpose of this meme was to bring the book blogging community together and foster our love of lists. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my list of my top ten reads part one.   Middle Grade 12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.    YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.  14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.  15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas This is another backlist release. 2019 Book Resolutions Tag!

Hey everyone! So Thursdays on the blog I am going to post a new tag. I think tags are so much fun, and I enjoy the time to reflect on what I’ve read in the past, or what I want to read. Images come from Goodreads. I grabbed the questions from  this blog 1. An author you’d like to read (that you’ve never read before). Leigh Bardugo! I have heard such great things about the Grisha verse, so I want to see if it lives up to all the hype. I have a feeling it will, and I am intrigued by the world. I got the first three books in the series as one large Ebook , so I ’m going to start that next month. I can’t wait to go on the journey and be immersed in a new series!  2. A book you’d like to read. Romanov by Nadine Brandes I love Anastasia and the Romanov family. This looks like such a fantastic retelling. I am drawn in just reading the blurb on Goodreads.  3. A classic you’d like to read. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I’ve had the Barnes and Nobel edition of
