Top Ten (Eight) Tuesday –Bookish Pet Peeves

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme is based on our love of books and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a prompt and we readers reply. We also have the option of doing our own thing. This week our topic was Bookish Pet Peeves.

1- Spoilers

2- Delayed release dates

3-People who don’t return books

4-Being judged for not going out

5- When adaptations don’t remain faithful to the book

6- Being interpreted or people talking to me while I’m reading

7- Bags: being to small to carry a book

8- Hearing people say they don’t like reading at all

I feel like everyone can find one book or genre they enjoy.

  1. Great list! I always try to stay off social media when one of the books I'm really anticipating reading first comes out specifically to avoid spoilers, since so many people just share spoilers willy-nilly.

  4. A book I've been eagerly awaiting most of the year was supposed to be released today. Late last week, it was announced it was delayed due to the pandemic. At least it's only until the end of the month. But still, I don't want to wait even longer.

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I am taking part in the weekly memes  The Sunday Post hosted by caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking The Shelves hosted by .tyngasreviews . I have had a great time coming up with the updates for these posts in the last few weeks and so I will keep doing them. Life This week was crazy for me because I had a a work blog due. While I enjoyed doing the post, it was more research than I had allotted for, so I just needed to spend more time on the blog than normal. Other than that it was an easy week. I got some read in and I got a new chapter up for my fanfic. Yesterday, we spent a lot of time in the backyard and shoveling stone for the yard. Read I just finished China Rich Girlfriend earlier today! All For One Alex &Eliza #3 is still so much fun and I think it is my favorite book of the trilogy still. Currently, I am on page 184/391 I read some The Princess and the Fangirl and I am 50% done. Rather than pushing it for the next few days, I deci...

Top Ten Tuesday- Holiday / Seasonal Freebie- Memorable characters of 2020

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana  @thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we book bloggers will post a reply to the topic. This week, it's a seasonal / winter freebie. I kind of went rogue in a way. In the winter you see the end of the year best-of lists, and that's exactly what I did with this post. You will find subsections to indicate the genre each book is in.  YA Contemporary 1- Pepper from Tweet Cute by Emma Lord Tweet Cute was a novel I read in September. I fell hard for the major character, Pepper. She was so sweet, and she wanted so much to lice her own life.  As a bonus, she baked, and I seem to really love characters who bake. Pepper made this list because she wanted to live her own life for her, and I really admire that quality in a person. 2- Sophie from 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston I’m in the middle of this book right now, but I ...
