Top Ten (Eight) Tuesday –Bookish Pet Peeves

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme is based on our love of books and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a prompt and we readers reply. We also have the option of doing our own thing. This week our topic was Bookish Pet Peeves.

1- Spoilers

2- Delayed release dates

3-People who don’t return books

4-Being judged for not going out

5- When adaptations don’t remain faithful to the book

6- Being interpreted or people talking to me while I’m reading

7- Bags: being to small to carry a book

8- Hearing people say they don’t like reading at all

I feel like everyone can find one book or genre they enjoy.

  1. Great list! I always try to stay off social media when one of the books I'm really anticipating reading first comes out specifically to avoid spoilers, since so many people just share spoilers willy-nilly.

  2. I hate people interrupting me when I'm reading too!
    My TTT:

  3. Great list and ugh, spoilers are the worst.

  4. A book I've been eagerly awaiting most of the year was supposed to be released today. Late last week, it was announced it was delayed due to the pandemic. At least it's only until the end of the month. But still, I don't want to wait even longer.

    Pam @ Read! Bake! Create!

  5. Adaptations is a great one- I hate it when they're not faithful! :)

  6. All very valid pet peeves, I don't know why I didn't mention one of them ...

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

Can't Wait Wednesday -Confessions of a Curious Bookseller

Hi! Can't-Wait Wednesday is hosted by Tressa  @wishfulendings . This meme is an offshoot of Waiting on Wednesday, which was hosted by  Jill@breakingthespine . The purpose of the meme is to feature books, usually unpublished, that we can't wait to read. This week, I'm featuring Confessions of a Curious Bookseller by Elizabeth Green. All information comes from GoodReads.  Title: Confessions of a Curious Bookseller Author: Elizabeth Green Genre: Adult Contemporary Expected Publication: January 1st, 2021  Add to Goodreads:  Here Goodreads Summary A heartening and uproariously funny novel of high hopes, bad choices, book love, and one woman’s best—and worst—intentions. Without question, Fawn Birchill knows that her used bookstore is the heart of West Philadelphia, a cornerstone of culture for a community that, for the past twenty years, has found the quirkiness absolutely charming. When an amicable young indie bookseller invades her block, Fawn is convinced that his cushy couch

Top Ten Tuesday –Favorite Couples (Valentine’s Day /Love Freebie)

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl. . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. I love doing this meme because it gives me a chance to bond with other bloggers. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we bloggers will make a post with our list on the topic, or a different one. This week it was Valentines / Love, so I wanted to do a post on favorite couples. I may have done a similar post last year, but I know that there are some new couples on this list.  1- Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy- Pride & Prejudice   This is the only classic couple on this list. I enjoy their relationship because the two characters have little in common, and yet by the end of the novel, they make it work. As you read Pride & Prejudice, you get to see these two find the love each of them was missing. 2- Cath and Levi–Fangirl One of my favorite YA novels needed to appear on this list. I love Cath and Levi because they balanc

Top Ten Tuesday- Eight Reasons I enjoy reading

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday  @ thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born put a love of lists, and bringing the book blogging community together. Each Week, Jana will post a prompt and we bloggers will make a list based on that prompt. We also have the option to go rogue and do our own thing. This week, our topic is reasons I love reading. I went with eight instead of my usual ten. 1- The escape I know that this might be others reason for reading, but real life is a lot. I love reading because it offers me the opportunity to escape and be taken away from my real-life troubles for a while.  2-Finding new characters to love I love finding a new book filled with new characters that I can call my friends. I know that sounds cheesy, but I’ve always been one that loved to meet all the characters in my favorite books. My favorite characters to meet are the ones that are bookish or ones that have a passion for theatre or music. Once I find a character, I love finding out more about
