Top Ten Tuesday- Favorite Bookish Locations

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will write our list. We also have the option to do our own thing. This week, our topic is  favorite bookish locations. As you can see, I went to places I want to visit, places I enjoy, or fantasy locations I enjoy. Enjoy!

1- New York City

I’ve read several books set in New York City and I love how the authors use the city to tell the story.

2- London

I’ve read A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey and One Day in December by Josie Silver. I loved seeing London through the eyes of the characters.

3- Paris

I’ve never been to Paris, but I want to go. I’ve read Enchantée (All that Glitters is the new title) by Gita Trelease and Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I loved seeing and exploring Paris in these books.

4- The Night Court from A Court of Thorns and Roses series

While there are other courts in this series, I would want to visit this one. I just love the mood of this court and the characters that live there.

5- The Night Circus from The Night Circus

I feel like everyone who has read this book will put this location on their list. I loved the description of the circus and I would want to visit it.

6- Miami

I’ve never been to Miami, but I want to visit it. A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow also had Miami as a location and I just loved it. I’ve also read books by Chanel Cleeton set in Miami for some parts of the novel.

7- Cuba

This is where the Chanel Cleeton books come into play more. I’ve never been, but I loved this setting and to want to visit it one day.

8- New Jersey

I’m from here, I grew up here, and I still live here. While it might not be as close to New York City as I would like, I still love my state. My favorite books set in New Jersey are The Chance to Fly by Ali Stroker and Stacy Davidowitz and Love In English by Maria E. Andreu.

9- Ravka from The Grisha Verse

I loved the setting of Ravka in The Grisha Verse. I would want to visit that country and then some of the smaller locations throughout the series.

10- Camp Half-Blood

I really love the Percy Jackson series and I would love to visit Camp Half-Blood.
