In the Queue Where it Happens

Hi! I've wanted to do a post on Fridays where I talk about the media I've enjoyed over the week, and what I would like to watch, and talk about music I've loving. Podcasts will also appear on this post, so consider this a post for all other media other than books. I'm very excited about this series. Yes, that is a reference to The Room Where it Happens from Hamilton.

TV

I watched a lot of the Food Network this week, but that isn't new, I just watch it in the background as I'm doing other things like blogging and reading. I enjoy Guys Grocery Games and Supermarket Stake Out. Most other shows, I don't actively watch, but if I'm listening to music or a podcast, I can't focus on just writing or reading that well.

I started One Day At A Time on Netflix a few months ago, and this week I watched more of it. I am currently on 3X3 and I plan on seeing how I can watch season four soon. This show is amazing and I can't recommend the show enough. I find it hilarious, but also think this show talks about important topics. My favorite character is Elena, but I enjoy Penelope and Lydia as well.

I watched two episodes of High School Musical: The Musical: The series on Disney Plus a while ago. I just got busy, but I need to get back to the show I was enjoying it so much being a fan of the original series. I haven't seen the third one yet, so I'd like to watch that soon as well.

Movies

Readers I have not watched a movie in weeks. The last movie I watched was Hamilton on Disney Plus July 3rd and 4th. I loved it so much, and I definitely need to re-watch it so I can write some kind of review, even if it's just a rave about the actors and the songs. I just wanna watch a movie this week so, I should just pick a classic on Disney Plus or find something on TV one night. I'm waiting for Little Women to come to streaming, but maybe I'll rent it one day.

Music

If you know me, follow the blog, or if you've noticed my username,  you know I'm a massive fan of musicals and Broadway. This week I  listened to & Juliet, it's a musical in the UK, and they fill it with absolute bops. It' wasn't the first time, but it had been months since I listened to it, and like once a week, or every few weeks, I'll definitely need to listen to it. It's a Jukebox musical, but honestly, there is not a terrible song in the bunch and the arrangements are gold. The story is also unique because it's a look at  Juliet Capulet if she hadn't died. I can't recommend this musical enough. Listen to & Juliet on Spotify

Besides listening to musicals, I love supporting Broadway and West End Actors. Alex Boniello is a Broadway actor who is most known for being in Deaf West Spring Awakening, as the voice of Moritz, and Dear Evan Hansen, in the role of Connor Murphy. Alex is also a producer for the musical Hadestown. Alex released a song on Spotify a few months ago, but he released a video this week. I love his song Pigeons, and I can't wait to hear the other music he has for us! Stream Pigeons on Spotify or watch the video here

Podcasts
I am so behind on The Adventure Zone Graduation and My Brother, My Brother, and Me. I enjoy the McElroy family, and should just listen to them, but I do other stuff as I listen to something like write blogs or read.

Grace Mouat is a West End Theatre Actress who just started a podcast. I loved the positive vibes and the interview in the first episode, so I'm recommending that here. Check out Cut to the Grace on Spotify.

Games and Streams

I'm not a huge gamer myself, but I enjoy watching other people play video games. I played Minecraft for a bit on a server with friends yesterday and it was so much fun. I forgot how relaxing that game can be when you're just building a house.

Alex Boniello started streaming games the Thursday before last. His streams are so much fun and super chill.   He also just reached Affiliate yesterday. Click here for Alex Boniello on Twitch.

Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C

Each week, Jana posts a topic, and we readers respond based on that prompt. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my list of my top ten reads part one.   Middle Grade 12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.    YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.  14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.  15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas This is another backlist release.
