In the Queue Where it Happens

Hi! This is my post where I talk to you about the other media I’ve been enjoying. Usually, these books will not be related to books.

TV and Movies

I’ve watched a few TV shows from my last post. I believe I said I started The Owl House and The Mandalorian on Disney +. I still have not finished either of those, but I hope to make some progress on them soon. I finished High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and I can’t wait for season 2. I recently finished Dash & Lily and started Julie & The Phantoms. I am enjoying this show so much, and I can’t believe it took me this long to watch it. Dash & Lily was so cute and I loved it.

I watched Despicable Me 3 on Christmas Day, I thought it was ok. Before that, I had watched The Prom, and if you know anything about me or the content I enjoy, you should know that The Prom was right up my alley. I’ve watched it twice so far, and I feel like I should watch it again soon. Godmothered is a movie on Disney +, and it’s so cute. I loved it so much. I have not watched Noelle or Soul yet, so one of those will be my next movie on Disney +.

Musicals and Music

When I tell you that my musicals taste is all over the place, I mean it. Usually, I have one or two that I will listen to on repeat for a while. I am loving a lot of musicals right now: Cruel Intentions (The 90s Musical), & Juliet, Six, Amelie, The Lightning Thief, We Are The Tigers, The Prom, and In The Heights. I think last year happing, and no new musicals coming out, I turned to either shows that came out in 2019, or shows that are what I call “comfort shows.” Alex Boniello, a Broadway Actor, and streamer put out an EP today, and I really enjoy that.

Games and Streams

No new games or streams from my last post. I still love Animal Crossing, Mario Kart World Tour, and Hay Day. I have been getting more into Booktube, and I’m enjoying watching the community over there.

Podcasts

I am working my way through The Adventure Zone: Graduation from the start. I’m enjoying it a lot. Also, I got back into the Broadwaysted podcast. This is a theatre podcast, and I love the show so much.

Top Ten Tuesday- Holiday / Seasonal Freebie- Memorable characters of 2020

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana  @thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we book bloggers will post a reply to the topic. This week, it's a seasonal / winter freebie. I kind of went rogue in a way. In the winter you see the end of the year best-of lists, and that's exactly what I did with this post. You will find subsections to indicate the genre each book is in.  YA Contemporary 1- Pepper from Tweet Cute by Emma Lord Tweet Cute was a novel I read in September. I fell hard for the major character, Pepper. She was so sweet, and she wanted so much to lice her own life.  As a bonus, she baked, and I seem to really love characters who bake. Pepper made this list because she wanted to live her own life for her, and I really admire that quality in a person. 2- Sophie from 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston I’m in the middle of this book right now, but I ...

Top Ten Tuesday –Favorite Couples (Valentine’s Day /Love Freebie)

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl. . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. I love doing this meme because it gives me a chance to bond with other bloggers. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we bloggers will make a post with our list on the topic, or a different one. This week it was Valentines / Love, so I wanted to do a post on favorite couples. I may have done a similar post last year, but I know that there are some new couples on this list.  1- Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy- Pride & Prejudice   This is the only classic couple on this list. I enjoy their relationship because the two characters have little in common, and yet by the end of the novel, they make it work. As you read Pride & Prejudice, you get to see these two find the love each of them was missing. 2- Cath and Levi–Fangirl One of my favorite YA novels needed to appear on this list. I love Cath and Levi becau...

Top Ten Tuesday-Favorite online bookish resources for readers

Hi! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists, and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will make out lists based on that prompt. We also have the option of going rouge and doing our own thing. This week, our topic is Favor online bookish resources, which is bad for me, because I will add so many new accounts for sites that look interesting.   1- Goodreads I feel like every reader uses Goodreads. I love it for the reading challenges and finding reviews, but I should use the community aspect more.    2- Barnes and Noble I love using B&N for books because I love supporting bookstores. I use Amazon sometimes, but that's mostly for Ebooks I want or daily deals.    3- Likewise   This is an app that I enjoy using. You rate books and other media and it gives you recommendations. I love it beca...
