Top Ten Tuesday –Middle-Grade novels

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a topic, and we bloggers come up with a list as a response. We also have the option of doing our own thing. This week the topic is colorful book covers. I usually come up with a different theme for all the cover-themed TTT’s. This week I’m sharing Top Ten Middle Grade reads for Middle-Grade May!!!! 4. Middle grade is just so needed sometimes, a refreshing break from YA and adult literature. Although, it did make me chuckle that Rick has written half the list 😆

Top Ten Tuesday –Favorite Couples (Valentine’s Day /Love Freebie)

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl. . This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. I love doing this meme because it gives me a chance to bond with other bloggers. Every week, Jana will post a topic, and we bloggers will make a post with our list on the topic, or a different one. This week it was Valentines / Love, so I wanted to do a post on favorite couples. I may have done a similar post last year, but I know that there are some new couples on this list.  1- Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy- Pride & Prejudice   This is the only classic couple on this list. I enjoy their relationship because the two characters have little in common, and yet by the end of the novel, they make it work. As you read Pride & Prejudice, you get to see these two find the love each of them was missing. 2- Cath and Levi–Fangirl One of my favorite YA novels needed to appear on this list. I love Cath and Levi because they balanc

Top Ten Tuesday-Books I want to reread

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by  Jana@thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and brings the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a topic, and we book bloggers write a response. This week, it's books I want to reread.  1- Pride & Prejudice   This is a classic I’ve read twice, I think? At least once, anyway, I love this novel so much. My favorite character in the book is Lizzie. I also miss the story. Maybe in 2021? Anyway, I miss this book and I want to reread it. 2- Foolish Hearts   I read this book in the summer of 2019. I had been in a bit of a slump at the time, so this pulled me out of it. I read the novel in about two weeks, and I just loved it so much. My favorite character is Claudia, and I want to revisit the book. That this involves theatre is another reason I need to reread this book ASAP. 3- After Anatevka   I know I talk about this book so much on the blog. I read this a few years ago now, and I want to revisit the charact

Top Ten Tuesday + one Honorable Mention Books I should have read in 2021

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ .thatartsyreadergirl . Every week, Jana will post a prompt and we book bloggers will make a list as a reply to the prompt, or a past one if we’re not feeling the current one. This bookish meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. This week, our prompt is books we wanted to read in 2020, but for some reason or other, we never got around to reading them. This year, I plan on reading a few of these as a part of my reading challenges. Classics 1- The Secret Garden 2- A Little Princess 3- Anne of Green Gables   I tell myself every year I will read more classics. I’ve been telling myself for years that I need to read these three books, and this will finally be the year. I can’t wait to read these and see what I think about them. Fantasy  4- A Curse So Dark and Lonely 5- The Ten Thousand Doors of January 6- A Starless Sea   Fantasy is a genre I read a lot of last year. I never got t
