Top Ten Tuesday –Middle-Grade novels

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a topic, and we bloggers come up with a list as a response. We also have the option of doing our own thing. This week the topic is colorful book covers. I usually come up with a different theme for all the cover-themed TTT’s. This week I’m sharing Top Ten Middle Grade reads for Middle-Grade May!!!! I think that Middle Grade is doing some great things. Here are ten Middle-Grade books I’ve loved.

1- Fearless (Fearless Series Book 1) by Mandy Gonzalez

2- The Chance to Fly by Ali Stroker

3- Rule of Threes by Marcy Campbell

4- The Disability Experience by Hannalora Leavitt, and Belle Wuthrich (Illustrations)

5- Why She Wrote by Lauren Burke, Hannah K. Chapman, and Kaley Bales (Illustrations)

6- The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

7- The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

8- The House of Hades by Rick Riordan

9- The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

10- The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

    1. I would recommend starting with Percy Jackson and then just kind of barrel rolling though them all.

  4. Middle grade is just so needed sometimes, a refreshing break from YA and adult literature. Although, it did make me chuckle that Rick has written half the list 😆

The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I am taking part in the weekly memes  The Sunday Post hosted by caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking The Shelves hosted by .tyngasreviews . I have had a great time coming up with the updates for these posts in the last few weeks and so I will keep doing them. Life This week was crazy for me because I had a a work blog due. While I enjoyed doing the post, it was more research than I had allotted for, so I just needed to spend more time on the blog than normal. Other than that it was an easy week. I got some read in and I got a new chapter up for my fanfic. Yesterday, we spent a lot of time in the backyard and shoveling stone for the yard. Read I just finished China Rich Girlfriend earlier today! All For One Alex &Eliza #3 is still so much fun and I think it is my favorite book of the trilogy still. Currently, I am on page 184/391 I read some The Princess and the Fangirl and I am 50% done. Rather than pushing it for the next few days, I deci...

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I will link up to  The Sunday Post  hosted by  /caffeinatedbookreviewer  and Stacking the Shelves hosted by  tyngasreviews . Life This week was busier than usual because I ended up going to Peter Pan Jr rehearsals in the afternoon so I could  work with the music cues. The show opens this coming Friday, and this week is Tech Week, which is a four days where the cast will be able to work with lights, sound, mics, costumes, makeup, and basically run the show and get notes. The cast is 3rd-8th graders. I've been helping for years and I love it, although because I love Peter Pan, I have a soft spot for this show in particular. Other than that it was a relaxing week. Read I started Rich People Problems by  Kevin Kwan on Monday. I am 21% done, and I already love this book. I might not love it as much as I loved China Rich Girlfriend, but it's still early.  All For One was the plan to finish last week, but I still have ...
