Hello! Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Tressa @wishfulendings. The meme is a rebranding of Waiting On Wednesday which was hosted by Jill @/breakingthespine. The purpose is to highlight a release that we're excited for. I love seeing the releases you all are anticipating.
This week I will feature Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell. Information from Goodreads.
Title- Wayward Son (Simon Snow #2)
Expected Publication Date- September 24th, 2019 from Wednesday Books
Summary
" Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after…
So why can’t Simon Snow get off the couch?
What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. He just needs to see himself in a new light…
That’s how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West.
They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost. They get so lost, they start to wonder whether they ever knew where they were headed in the first place…
With Wayward Son, Rainbow Rowell has written a book for everyone who ever wondered what happened to the Chosen One after he saved the day. And a book for everyone who was ever more curious about the second kiss than the first. It’s another helping of sour cherry scones with an absolutely decadent amount of butter.
Come on, Simon Snow. Your hero’s journey might be over–but your life has just begun."
Why I'm excited- I enjoyed Carry On. It might not have been my favorite book I read the year I read it, and I enjoyed it less than Fangirl but I still want to keep going with the characters. Simon and Baz are great characters in my opinion, and I can't wait to see where this next adventure takes them. In the first book, I adored Penny and I'm so happy she's in this book as well.
What book are you most excited for?
I didn't know there was going to be a second one. Hope this one ends up being amazing. Happy reading!

DeleteThis reminds me that I still need to read the first book in the series. I've read and enjoyed several of Rowell's books but hadn't made it to Carry On yet. I hope you enjoy this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne.
DeleteI enjoyed the one Rainbow Rowell book I read. This one sounds like it will be good too!
