Overview
I found this on Edelweiss + a few months back. I enjoyed
reading it and learning about the people discussed in the book. Being a lover
of cats, I knew I would need to get a copy of this book, and I was so happy to
see this on Read Now.
Writing
The writing of this book reads just like any other
Non-Fiction about a celebrity does. You get to know what the person did, and
how they qualified to be featured in this book. Where this book went in a new
direction was just as the title said, it talked about the relationship the
person had with their cats. Reading about how the person got their cat and how
much they loved the cat was something very sweet to read. When I read
Non-Fiction I hope to learn something, and I definitely learned about some of
the people featured in this book that I didn’t know about previously.
Pace
The pace of this book was good for the most part. I felt
that in some places when talking about a person and their cat sometimes it felt
rushed, and other times I felt it could be quicker. I don’t know if this is
writing style or the fact that some of the people got a longer feature. Either
way, while reading this I was starting to zone out, and my biggest issue with
the book was the pacing.
Photos
This book includes photos of the people and their cats. I
thought the photos were well done because it adds more to learning about them
to see the person and their cat. The photos enhance the story, and they don’t
take away from learning about the person.
