Top Ten (Fifteen) Tuesday Spring TBR Part 2 -May & June!

Hello! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana@ thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each Week, Jana will post a prompt, and we will all write a response to that or do our own thing if we decide. This week, our topic is Spring TBR, and I’m very excited to talk about the reads I have planned for May and June! In case you missed it, I did my TBR for April last week for the Spring Cleaning Freebie. Read part one of this post: right here. I picked 12 for this post so I could talk about all the books I want to read. I have one open slot in June, I think this will be filled closer to the date, or if I find a readathon for Pride Month.

May

Physical

1- 10 Truths and a Dare by Ashley Elston (Out May 4th)

I loved 10 Blind Dates, and I can’t wait to see this companion story.

2- All For One (Alex & Eliza 3) by Melissa de la Cruz

This is for my project of the ranked list of Hamilton Historical Fiction.

3- Kate In Waiting by Becky Albetalli (out 4/20/21)- this is just here in case I need more time.

I can’t wait to read this, and I might finish it in 11 days, so I’ll add Us Against You here when the time comes. If not, I’ll focus on the other three books I have on my physical TBR.

4- With The Fire On High by Elizabeth Acevedo

I’ve been talking about how I need to read this book for a while now.  I’m excited to read it.

Ebooks

5- Like Home by Louisa Onomé

I found out about this book close to the release date. I’m excited to read it because I loved the vibes that I saw in the summary. This is compared to In The Heights, which is one of my favorite musicals unless there is something else called In The Heights.

6- Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales

This is a release that just came out last week. I think it looks amazing, and it seems like a story that needs to be told.

7-I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life by Anne Bogle

I’ve had this on my tbr for a bit. I can’t wait to read this and see what it’s about.

8- fill-in closer to May

June

Physical

9- Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid (out 6/1)

I love Taylor Jenkins Reid, so there is no way I’m not going to start this the day my order gets here. I am so hyped to start off the late spring and early summer months with this book!

10- One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston (out 6/1)

I am such a fan of Red, White, and Royal Blue. I knew when this book was announced that I would add it to my tbr, and read it right away.

11- Alex and Peggy A Revolutionary Friendship by L. M. Elliott

This is the last book for my ranked Hamilton Fiction: I’ve read post coming out in June/ July whenever I finish all the books I need to reread.

Ebooks

All the books listed here were picked because June is Pride Month. One Last Stop has rep was well, and Malibu Rising might have some as well.

12- Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender

I’ve heard so many good things about this book and I’ve excited to read it.

13 Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

This book was so hyped last year, and I got a copy when it was a Kindle Daily Deal a few weeks ago. I can’t wait to see what this book has to offer.

14- You Should See Me In A Crown by Leah Johnson

This is another hyped book I’ve been hearing great things about. I can’t wait to read this and see this important story be told.

15- Something to Talk About by Meryl Wilsner

This is an adult f/f that was recommended to me. I need to read it for a challenge I’m doing this year, and I am very excited to read this.

  4. I enjoyed Hamilton and Peggy. I wasn't a massive fan of Alex and Eliza though, so I never read the other books in the series.

2019 Book Resolutions Tag!

Hey everyone! So Thursdays on the blog I am going to post a new tag. I think tags are so much fun, and I enjoy the time to reflect on what I’ve read in the past, or what I want to read. Images come from Goodreads. I grabbed the questions from  this blog 1. An author you’d like to read (that you’ve never read before). Leigh Bardugo! I have heard such great things about the Grisha verse, so I want to see if it lives up to all the hype. I have a feeling it will, and I am intrigued by the world. I got the first three books in the series as one large Ebook , so I ’m going to start that next month. I can’t wait to go on the journey and be immersed in a new series!  2. A book you’d like to read. Romanov by Nadine Brandes I love Anastasia and the Romanov family. This looks like such a fantastic retelling. I am drawn in just reading the blurb on Goodreads.  3. A classic you’d like to read. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I’ve had the Barnes and Nobel edition of

Top Ten Tuesday- Favorite Books of the Year Part 1 (12-21)

Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @ thatartsyreadergirl . The purpose of this meme was to bring the book blogging community together and foster our love of lists. Each week, Jana posts a topic, and we readers respond based on that prompt. This week our topic is a freebie, so I decided to make my list of my top ten reads part one.   Middle Grade 12- Never After by Melissa de la Cruz I'm almost done with this book. It's a duology, and I loved the new twist on fairy tales.    YA 13- Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith I read this early in the year and it stuck with me. This YA Contemporary about gaming and the culture of the gaming industry was fantastic.  14- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak It took me years to read this book but I really enjoyed it. I love the unique narrator, the characters, and the story.  15- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas This is another backlist release. I loved this book, and I knew when I read it that it had the potential to be on this list. I still thi
