Top Ten Tuesday Spring TBR part 1 April

Hi! Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday. Each week, Jana @thatartsyreadergirl posts a prompt, and we all make a list based on that prompt, a similar prompt, or pick a topic of our own for the list. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. This week, we’re doing a spring cleaning freebie, and because I want to read over 10 books this spring, I decided to do this post this week, and talk about books I want to read in May and June before the summer next week. I’ll put them in sections because that’s easier to navigate.

April

Pre Orders (Physical)

1- Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo (King of Scars # 2)

This is my first of four pre-orders I plan on starting when they get here. I’m so looking forward to this book after enjoying King of Scars last month. I’m also sad because this is the last book in the Grisha Verse.

2- Fearless (Fearless # 1) by Mandy Gonzalez

I pre-ordered this book because it looked like a fun book. I enjoy Middle Grade, and I think I’ll enjoy this mystery. All I needed to hear was theatre ghost, and that the kids wanted their show to go up, and I was sold. Mandy Gonzalez is a Broadway star and I love her work on the In the Heights Cast recording. Early reviews rate this book 3-4 stars and say that it is perfect for any fan of theatre. This makes me thrilled.

3- The Chance to Fly by Ali Stroker and Stacy Davidowitz

This is another Middle-Grade theatre story by another Broadway Actress. I’ve enjoyed her for years and I’m so hyped for her book. Early reviews say this is 3-5 stars, and I am so excited to read this.

4- Kate in Waiting by Becky Albertalli

You all know I love Becky Albertalli. I am so excited to read this story which also happens to be about theatre.

Reread

5- Love & War (Alex & Eliza #2) by Melissa de la Cruz

I’m rereading this trilogy and Hamilton and Peggy for a ranking post of all the Hamilton Historical Fiction I’ve read.

Ebooks

6- The Hate you Give by Angie Thomas

Yes, I will finally read THUG next month!!! I’m so hyped to read it.

7- Pride by Ibo Zobi

A P&P retelling?! I’m so hyped. The reviews of this are really positive and I’m very excited to read it. I read the first five chapters when it came out, and I loved it so much.

8- In the Neighborhood of True by Susan Kaplan Carlton

This is Historical Fiction to mix in with the hard-hitting contemporaries I have for next month. I’ve been anticipating this book for years, and I’m so hyped to read it. I’m half Jewish, and I love seeing Jewish rep in books. I think I will love this novel.

9- That Way Madness Lies (out 3/15)

I put this here, but I might put another novel here if I finish this. This is a YA Contemporary Shakespeare anthology, and it has my name all over it. My hype for this is so real.

    1. I know right?! It's another theatre story, or theatre seems to be a part of it, and that makes me so happy.

The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I am taking part in the weekly memes  The Sunday Post hosted by caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking The Shelves hosted by .tyngasreviews . I have had a great time coming up with the updates for these posts in the last few weeks and so I will keep doing them. Life This week was crazy for me because I had a a work blog due. While I enjoyed doing the post, it was more research than I had allotted for, so I just needed to spend more time on the blog than normal. Other than that it was an easy week. I got some read in and I got a new chapter up for my fanfic. Yesterday, we spent a lot of time in the backyard and shoveling stone for the yard. Read I just finished China Rich Girlfriend earlier today! All For One Alex &Eliza #3 is still so much fun and I think it is my favorite book of the trilogy still. Currently, I am on page 184/391 I read some The Princess and the Fangirl and I am 50% done. Rather than pushing it for the next few days, I deci...

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I will link up to  The Sunday Post  hosted by  /caffeinatedbookreviewer  and Stacking the Shelves hosted by  tyngasreviews . Life This week was busier than usual because I ended up going to Peter Pan Jr rehearsals in the afternoon so I could  work with the music cues. The show opens this coming Friday, and this week is Tech Week, which is a four days where the cast will be able to work with lights, sound, mics, costumes, makeup, and basically run the show and get notes. The cast is 3rd-8th graders. I've been helping for years and I love it, although because I love Peter Pan, I have a soft spot for this show in particular. Other than that it was a relaxing week. Read I started Rich People Problems by  Kevin Kwan on Monday. I am 21% done, and I already love this book. I might not love it as much as I loved China Rich Girlfriend, but it's still early.  All For One was the plan to finish last week, but I still have ...
