Book Tag Thursdays !!!

Welcome back to Tag Thursdays! This is the Book Blogger Confessions Tag. I found the tag at this blog. Images from Goodreads

1. Which book, most recently, did you not finish?

The Graphic Novel Batman: The Dark Night Returns. I was not feeling it after the first pages, so I moved on. I might pick it up again soon? I had just read a Graphic Novel I loved, and this was such a letdown for me.
2. Which book is your guilty pleasure?

Guilty? I don't have really any guilt in reading any books I read. Maybe a book that was for younger readers, I am talking like Elementary or Middle Grade was Mary Poppins Returns b Kathy McCullough. I spoiled the movie for myself by reading it, but I enjoyed the novel.

3. Which book do you love to hate?

Hate is such a strong word. I have a strong dislike for Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I stopped about 40 pages from the end because I just couldn't take it anymore. I could not follow the plot, and the characters were running together. From what I remember, it was about two people's love story through the ages? As in, when they were younger and when they're older. Also, I found the characters boring as anything.

4. Which book would you throw into the sea?

I feel bad using the same book for two questions. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. I didn't remember that I read this book for a class until I ran through my Goodreads Read shelf. I really just don't know what to say here other than I couldn't get into this book. I remember finding the plot lackluster and the characters boring.

5. Which book have you read the most?

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, and Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell with two times, respectively. The second one I read for two English classes one in Highschool and one in Middle School. I enjoy the story and the characters, but I probably won't read it again. Jane Eyre holds a special place in my heart. It was the first classic I read that wasn't assigned to me by a school, so it changed my perspective on the genre. Fangirl when I read it the first time was the first character who I felt a major connection with. I love rereading it and seeing Cath again!

6. Which book would you hate to receive as a present?

It by Stephen King. I'm not big into the Horror genre,  because I don't do well with gore and blood. Also, that book seems terrifying.

7.  Which book could you not live without?

I am going with Pride&Prejuidce by Jane Austen. This is another classic story that I love. I would love to work into a yearly reread because it has been years since I read the novel.

8. Which book made you the angriest?

Hm. I'm not sure how to take this question. Angry in an "I can't believe the writer did this" or a "wow this was just really terrible book all around. Not to use Wuthering Heights for two questions, but that book just made me rage because I had no clue what was happening.

9. Which book made you cry the most?

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I was a mess reading that book. I read it as a teen or early 20-year-old. I would love to pick up this novel again.
10. Which book cover do you hate the most?

Looking For Alaska by John Green. I felt that the cover didn't fit the story that the book was.

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  2- Miriam Kendrick from C

Top Ten Tuesday books/ series I would recommend to someone who says don’t like to read.

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a topic, and we will all make a list based on that topic. This week, the topic is Books Written Before I Was Born ( These can be books you’ve read or want to read! ) ( submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog ). I wasn’t feeling this, and so I went through and found a post from The Broke & the Bookish, and I did that. The original post can  be found here . I thought I would recommend some books from some of my favorite genres.   The Classics 1- Pride & Prejudice This is one of my favorite classics, and when making my list this week, I knew I needed to include it. The reason is that I think this is one of the best books by Jane Austen, and we use the story in a lot of modern media. 2- To Kill A Mocking Bird I was so surprised by how much I loved this

Top Ten Tuesday-Books I want to reread

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by  Jana@thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was born out of a love of lists and brings the book blogging community together. Each week Jana posts a topic, and we book bloggers write a response. This week, it's books I want to reread.  1- Pride & Prejudice   This is a classic I’ve read twice, I think? At least once, anyway, I love this novel so much. My favorite character in the book is Lizzie. I also miss the story. Maybe in 2021? Anyway, I miss this book and I want to reread it. 2- Foolish Hearts   I read this book in the summer of 2019. I had been in a bit of a slump at the time, so this pulled me out of it. I read the novel in about two weeks, and I just loved it so much. My favorite character is Claudia, and I want to revisit the book. That this involves theatre is another reason I need to reread this book ASAP. 3- After Anatevka   I know I talk about this book so much on the blog. I read this a few years ago now, and I want to revisit the charact
