Spring Cleaning Book Tag
1. Getting started: A book series you’ve been wanting to read
The Grisha trilogy and every book after by Leigh Bardugo, I know I'm aware how behind I am on this series. The first three books are sitting on my Kindle and I will get to them soon. I have heard the hype time and time again and seen the mixed reviews for this series. I want to read them all in 2019.
2. Cleaning/organizing the closet: The best way to organize books
What is organizing your books? I'm kidding but I really don't organize my books. I have kept my series and books that are related to authors together. If I had more book organization and maybe this summer, I will I would keep this system but have like colors together for stand alones.
3. Getting rid of unnecessary things: Book/series you no longer need
Oh god. I will say Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. This is a classic novel that I stopped like 40 pages from the end, but oy I could not take this book anymore. I've called it DNFed and I just need to get rid of the book and move on.
4. Get some air: Your favorite light-hearted read
A favorite light hearted read is Fangirl. I know what you're all thinking she will never not put this book on a list ever right?! Anyway, this book is a delight and I love it so much.
5. Clean out the kitchen cupboards: Favorite food-themed read
I have not read any food related reads. One on my TBR is All That She Can See by Carrie Hope Fletcher. I have read the synopsis, and this seems like a delightfully fun read about food. I guess Geekerella might count because of the Food Truck?
6. Dust the shelves: What’s the fifth book on your bookshelf?
I have two big shelves I use so I used the main one. The fifth was Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston. This is a Sci Fi Anastasia retelling and was one of my favorite books of 2018.
7. Wishing for the end: A 2019 release you’re really excited about
There are so many books coming out this year that could fit on this list! Romanov by Nadine Brandes is one of my tops and it comes out next month! I can't wait to read this Anastasia retelling!
8. Long but satisfying: The longest book series you’ve read
Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I believe War and Peace is longer, but I have not finished that book yet. Les Miserables took me over two years to read, but it was so satisfying when I finished.
