Top Five Tuesday -Books Set in your own country

Hello! I had fun with Top Five Tuesday last week so I did a post this week as well. Shanah @bionicbookwormblog is our host for this weekly discussion. I am not a mystery person so I will do a post I missed which was Top 5 Books set in your own country.

The United States!

1- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I know that you're all probably tired of me talking about this book. This book is a gem and one of my favorite if not my favorite book that is YA. Cath is such a great main character and we see so much growth from her. Wren kind of annoys me to no end, but that doesn't stop me from loving this book.

2- Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ormsbee

This was my favorite read of 2017! Tash is our main character, and she  has a lot of depth to her I would say. The premise of the book is that Tash and her friends have a web series based on Anna Karina by Leo Tolstoy. I was big into web series at the time, and I was so happy that someone had used it as a premise for a book. The novel also has Ace rep! I will need to reread this in June for Pride Month.

3- Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

A gay romance a love to the theater I love this book so much. I finished this book in about  a  month. Simon and the gang are such great characters and I love their story.

4- Geekerella by Ashley Poston

Such a fun geek tale! I'm not done with The Princess and the Fangirl but I could have easily put that book in here as well. I love Ashley Poston and I love all the characters in this book.

5-  To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

This is such a cute romance. I have been reading the second book for months I  just need to find the time to finish it. The premise of this book is unique which is why I enjoy it so much. Lara Jean is my favorite character in this book and I would put her in my top 15 literary characters of all time.

  1. I feel the same way about Fangirl- one of my favorite YA reads. And I've never read Jenny Han but I loved the Netflix adaptation of To All The Boys!

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

Top Ten Tuesday books/ series I would recommend to someone who says don’t like to read.

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a topic, and we will all make a list based on that topic. This week, the topic is Books Written Before I Was Born ( These can be books you’ve read or want to read! ) ( submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog ). I wasn’t feeling this, and so I went through and found a post from The Broke & the Bookish, and I did that. The original post can  be found here . I thought I would recommend some books from some of my favorite genres.   The Classics 1- Pride & Prejudice This is one of my favorite classics, and when making my list this week, I knew I needed to include it. The reason is that I think this is one of the best books by Jane Austen, and we use the story in a lot of modern media. 2- To Kill A Mocking Bird I was so surprised by how much...

Top Ten Tuesday- Fall TBR

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This meme was made to foster our love of lists and bring the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a list, and we readers will write a response. We also have the option of doing our own thing. This week our topic is fall tbr. I’m a mood reader, and I help out with a game and take part in a game every month. Every time you see a game prompt means that I will try to find a book on my shelves once I find out what the prompts will be. I’m going to reserve two books a month for games. I plan on reading more than what is listed here. This is just a small taste of what I hope to read.   September 1- On the Come Up by Angie Thomas (57%) done–I left my Ipad down the shore, luckily my mom and sister found It and they have it. I am enjoying this book. I’m not sure if I will be able to finish this by the end of this month, but I wanted to put it here anyway. 2- Barakah Beats by Maleeha Siddiqui (10% d...
