The Productivity Booktag

Hello! Welcome back to Bookending Spring. For those that don't know Bookending Spring is hosted by Sam @fictionallysam and Clo @bookdragons. Every season they host this event where prompts are given and they offer you a look into the blogger behind the blog. Today, I will be doing the Productivity Booktag by Sam!

Rules
  • Answer the prompts.
  • Tag some friends.
  • Link back to this post, and be sure to mention the creator (Sam @ Fictionally Sam)
  • Have fun!

Planning | A book that is completely thought out.

I will echo Sam here and say A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas; I have only read this series once, but as I was reading I saw how developed  this series was. The world is lush and the characters are grand.
Focus | A book that kept your undivided attention
A book that kept my attention was The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I read this book in two weeks in early 2019. The world was so capturing  and I loved all the characters and the story. The one character I can't stand is Taryn, maybe if I read the novella to see her side of the story I would change my mind.

Delegating | A book that should have been a series

I am not sure if this is a series or not but Last of Her Name by Jessica Khoury. This was another Sci-Fi Anastasia retelling and I want more from these characters and this world.

Small goals | Name a book below 150 pages that you loved

Carmilla by J Sheridan La Fanu. This is a novella which is 90 pages long. I read it back when I was an English Major.  I wish the book was longer, but it packs a lot of punch.

Peak Hours | A series you could only read at a certain time

I am not sure an answer for this question. Fangirl and Carry On I read in the summer into fall because it has those back to school vibes.

Lists | A book that you finally crossed off your TBR

The Cruel Prince by Holly Black! I read it this year after it had been out for a year. I think this book lives up to the hype.

Proactive | A book that is/was ahead of its time

Once again I agree with Sam. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a story that was vastly ahead of its time.  It is a story that is still relevant today and I love that there is a play version on Broadway right now.

Declutter | A series you wish you could unread

Well I don't know because I have enjoyed all the series I read. I loved the first two books in Divergent so that is out because I want to remember those. If I can switch this prompt to one book, it will be Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

Multi-tasking | books that you read at the same time

I am just going to list my current reads because I am reading a lot of books right now.

All For One by Melissa de la Cruz

The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston

Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell

Rich People Problems by Kevin Kwan (starting soon)

Top Ten Tuesday- characters that remind me of myself

Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday! This is a weekly meme where readers discuss ten or whatever number you would like to have based on a prompt. Our host is Jana at  thatartsyreadergirl . Our topic this week is Characters Like Myself. I am going to take a two words that each character has in in my opinion,  and discuss how that relates to me  as well. 1- Cather Avery from Fangirl Writer- At her core, Cath is a writer, and she loves her stories. I am a writer of both Fan Fiction and original stories like Cath so this was an automatic in for this. Both of us love our work and we tend to through ourselves whole hardheartedly into our work. Sisters- I might have mentioned this on the blog before but I have a younger sister and we’re only roughly 18 months a part. Cath and her twin sister Wren are polar  opposites and this is me and my sister. My younger sister is an extrovert and into science. I on the other hand,  am an introverted creative bookworm.  ...

Top Ten Tuesday books/ series I would recommend to someone who says don’t like to read.

Hi! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ thatartsyreadergirl . This weekly meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a topic, and we will all make a list based on that topic. This week, the topic is Books Written Before I Was Born ( These can be books you’ve read or want to read! ) ( submitted by Davida Chazan @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog ). I wasn’t feeling this, and so I went through and found a post from The Broke & the Bookish, and I did that. The original post can  be found here . I thought I would recommend some books from some of my favorite genres.   The Classics 1- Pride & Prejudice This is one of my favorite classics, and when making my list this week, I knew I needed to include it. The reason is that I think this is one of the best books by Jane Austen, and we use the story in a lot of modern media. 2- To Kill A Mocking Bird I was so surprised by how much...
