Top 5 Wednesday- Mental Health

Hello! This is another late post, but I wanted to out this put up as well. This meme is from This Goodreads Group. I have not read a ton about Mental Health, but I found five.

1- Turtles All  the Way Down by John Green

Rep- OCD

This is my favorite John Green Novel! I felt the representation of OCD presented in this was excellent, but I don't know if it's positive or not as I don't suffer from OCD myself. How OCD is woven into this book helped me see Aza as in a new light because I saw what she went through.

2- Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Rep- Anxiety

Yeah yeah I'll make this quick. Cath's Anxiety is all over this book and I personally felt this was a great way to show how anxiety can affect someone.

3-  Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

Rep- Anxiety

This was another book where anxiety was  represented by the main character Eliza. As with the previous book, I felt this was a great way to show the effects of Anxiety on a person.

4- Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich

Rep- Anxiety

In Dear Evan Hansen, we see Evan an anxious teen who tells a lie and then he doesn't come clean until towards the end of the book. I felt this book was middle of the road, not the best  or the most positive representation, however; I think that it could be worse.

5- The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

I read this book years ago but I think Mental Health is largely represented  in the main character Charlie.  From what I remember, this is a positive representation.
