The Sunday Post!

Welcome back! Today I will link up to The Sunday Post hosted by /caffeinatedbookreviewer and Stacking the Shelves hosted by tyngasreviews.

Life

This week was busier than usual because I ended up going to Peter Pan Jr rehearsals in the afternoon so I could  work with the music cues. The show opens this coming Friday, and this week is Tech Week, which is a four days where the cast will be able to work with lights, sound, mics, costumes, makeup, and basically run the show and get notes. The cast is 3rd-8th graders. I've been helping for years and I love it, although because I love Peter Pan, I have a soft spot for this show in particular. Other than that it was a relaxing week.

Read

I started Rich People Problems by  Kevin Kwan on Monday. I am 21% done, and I already love this book. I might not love it as much as I loved China Rich Girlfriend, but it's still early.

All For One was the plan to finish last week, but I still have like 60 some pages to go so that will be this week. I am enjoying hearing about Maria even though I love the character of Eliza and I love Alex and Eliza together.

I read more of The Princess and the Fangirl this week. I am 68% done and am due to review this next week; I feel like I should get it done, but I must wait and see.

Sky Without Stars is still very much a wild ride that I am so here for. I am 61% done so I'm on track to finish this book this month!

On The Blog

Every review I meant to post is now pushed back a week. I  just honestly ran out of time to get my review of Comics Will Break Your Heart ready.

Sunday- The Sunday Post

Monday- Bookending Spring- The Spring Cleaning Booktag
Bookending Spring- The Productivity Booktag

Tuesday- Top Ten Tuesday- Books I Would Take on a Desert Island

Wednesday- CWW- In the Time We Lost

Sunday- April Wrapup & May TBR

New books

I got some new books this week. Both of these are Ebooks.

Valencia and Valentine by Suzy Krause (Free Prime Read for May)

I was drawn to this because it looks like a tale about female friendship and I love that.

The Neverland Wars (The Neverland Wars #1) by Audrey Greathouse.

This was a whim buy because it was only 99 cents when I was looking at Peter Pan retellings. I was drawn to it because I love that the main character is a high school student. I can't wait to read this, probably this summer, but definitely before the end of the year.

Next week

I am busier this week but I want to keep up with the blog here.

Monday- Sumner of Love Chapter 2. This is my Anastasia Modern Summer Camp AU fan fiction. The chapter has been live for a few weeks on my Ao3, but I will post it here tomorrow.

Tuesday- Top Ten Tuesday- Characters that Remind Me of Myself- I can't wait for this one!

Wednesday- Can't Wait Wednesday

Thursday or Friday- Comics Will Break Your Heart by Faith Erin Hicks Review

Thanks for reading!

  1. Good luck with the Peter Pan show! I've never read a Peter Pan retelling but it seems like a world rife with good retelling possibilities!

  5. I don't know how you can read more than one book at a time. I can only do one book and one audio. Have a nice weekend. Enjoy your new reads!
